What is going on Amazon sellers or hopefully soon-to-be Amazon sellers in today's video
I want to discuss about the legal way on selling name-brand products on
Amazon
Now there's what I bring up this video is because I actually get quite a bit of questions with people that I guess that are
confused from other business models selling on Amazon mostly coming from I would say private label sellers and
Also confusion from drop shippers and arbitrage sellers who get suspended a bunch
Which throughout this video you're gonna understand the reasons why?
Arbitrage sellers and drop shippers get suspended so much. Now one thing I will say is
Someone's probably gonna put in the comments right now saying oh but there's the first like sale rights rule
Which what I'm using the term legal, I'm mostly using this
So you actually click on the video and kind of click bait and you understand
What im about to say, however, yes, if you buy a product in America, you are allowed to resell it off the first sale rule
right, however
Amazon is their own business and they have their own rules
So what I'll be going off of this video is making sure that you can sell
Name-brand products and Amazon not saying that okay, you can go buy it from the dollar store
And I'm not saying it's illegal to go sell that but I'm saying that you may get suspended doing that. Okay?
So now we have that clear
Let me just clear up a couple of business models before I get into on the right way to pretty much sell
name-brand products on Amazon
So there's a business model called private label and Amazon and that's the business model where you're creating up your own
brands, and when you do that, you have to go create up your own listing now a big complaint from private label sellers is
They get hijacked a lot. Meaning that people other sellers
sell on their listing because if you go find a product from Alibaba.com and just some generic
Product you put your own name brand on it
Well, someone else can go find that same exact product. And if a customer gets it, they probably don't care about your brand
so why would someone not hijack it and that's where a lot of issues happen with private label sellers and a
a big confusion gap where happens with this business model that I do when I'm selling name-brand products is because I don't
have to go create a
New listing and I am allowed to go sell under the same exact listing. So what I am doing is not
Hijacking. Am I clear on that?
so this is going to lead to the first point on how I'm able to sell a name-brand products and not get in trouble and
Do it the right way what's down on Amazon? It's because I'm sourcing from United States
Suppliers now. Okay. Yes. Someone's probably put in the comments right now saying okay Beau you're sourcing from United States suppliers
But everything's made in China. Okay, let's let's get this clear
what I mean USA suppliers
I'm not saying that the products are made in the United States they could be but they could be made in China
They can be in Taiwan. Indonesia can be made in America South America, but they're distributed throughout the United States
Now, what's the difference here?
Well, yes, if I'm gonna go sell Hasbro products and Amazon Hasbro they make their stuff in China, but I'm buying it from suppliers
Who can distribute and wholesale out Hasbro products?
So the difference here is if you go source from a Chinese wholesaler in China and other countries
They don't have copyright laws. So meaning they can sell you fake goods now it's not legal for you
Go sell those fake goods, but they can sell it to you. So to protect yourself making sure you're sourcing legit
Authentic real name-brand products you want to be sourcing for Unites States?
Suppliers and one other tip on those lines if you think the prices are too good to be true
Well it is it's probably counterfeit. So now we have that clear. Let me go on to the second point
I'm an authorized retailer for all the name brands
I am selling what I mean by this is you could go find name-brand products at Goodwill
Garage sales your house and things on those lines
I actually had a speaker who does very well on Amazon and he has a very specific business model
That's totally different but it's kind of complement to what I do. His name's Jacob Schultz. He spoke at my
Summit last December and he'll probably be coming back again at this summit in March
14 15 if you actually haven't got your tickets yet to the
Summit on March 14 15. I definitely suggest looking that on the link down below, but he actually got suspended by selling an HP printer
On Amazon. He just had the HP printer at his house
he didn't buy it from a supplier or anything on those lines and he sold it in Amazon asking for an invoice
He was like, I don't know I bought from my house. I don't have an invoice and they suspended it
so the difference here is what I'm doing is I'm buying from suppliers that give me an invoice because they're legit business its resale and
I don't have to pay sales tax on it because I'm buying it with my
Resellers permit and they give it to me they give me an invoice and if Amazon asked me for an invoice
I had this invoice that shows I bought these products from this legit United States supplier. Does it make sense?
So that's the difference there
So if you're sourcing via arbitrage and you're click on this video saying, oh Beau says I can't legally do arbitrage
No, I'm not saying that I'm saying with an Amazon's rules. There's a very high percent chance
They're going to suspend you because you don't have a legit document saying you bought these a receipt from Walmart is not a legit
Document and the last thing is that I am selling new products
They're in the new condition their new the tags, and they have the warranties on them
How I'm selling on Amazon is the same exact way that Best Buy Target gamestop Walmart Costco how they sell
Costco Walmart Target
They're all sourcing from United States suppliers. One misconception people have is they think that these?
Big-box retailers are sourcing direct from the Chinese manufacturing plants
Which in reality what's actually going on as many of these brands?
They don't wholesale directly to retailers, they sell to distributors and then people buy from the distributors
so with this I'm buying the goods exactly how
Walmart gamestop on all these big-box retailers are doing so so it's the same exact thing
The issues that people can run into is when they're buying for like liquidation companies
sometimes closeout companies or their thing to find things off the truck is
They're not they might not have the warranties on of it. For example, I've
Had a message come through my facebook one time and someone
was tell me about how they were selling a bunch of these Xbox consoles and they got a return and when I
Heard my youtube channel that if you get a bunch of returns
You should try to go utilize the warranties
So they want to go utilize the warranties, but then they realize that these warranty has already been used
So pretty much what happens that the person?
they were buying from obviously was not a legit supplier which in my course at beaucrabill.com, I go over and how to make
Sure, your vending out the suppliers correctly. They bought them from this person
and what what looks like what they did is they probably took in the products used or they replace them and fix them up and
they already had expired warranties on them and
when the person bought them and try to sell on Amazon and use the warranties there weren't he's already been used because they're not a
Completely hundred percent new product now. The Xbox was probably a new condition
It was in the new packaging but since the warranties are not legit. It doesn't make it a new 100% product
So people gets this you want to get suspended doing that but the products not necessarily new and customer
complaints if they try to utilize the warranties
But with me I buy them their new new and tags new in the box news and warranties exactly how you would buy in this
Store and that's pretty much it
so I actually made a very similar video to this and
I actually have got a lot of negative comments and feedback on that video because I pretty much
Rambled on a bunch and spoke really really fast. So if you've seen that video and now you're watching this one
Let me know if you thought this one was a lot better, but just to sum it up
Well, you want to sell name-brand products on Amazon. You have to do it like a legit business
run your business exactly how a big-box retailer like Game Stop Target Costco Walmart does I'm doing the same exact thing as them and
Again, this is a real business. So I'm gonna treat it like a real business and that's about it
