hey everybody my name is Dan Henry and I'm the founder of getclients.com and
the author of Digital Millionaire secrets which is a book on how to grow
an online education business let me know in the comments below how many of you
have not started selling an online course because you don't have any
followers let me know if that's you in the comments all right so you want to
start an online course you want to profit from your knowledge you know
there's opportunity out there you know that there's other people that are
making tons of money from selling online courses and you want in and you want to
do your part to change the world but you don't have any followers you don't have
an email list you don't have an audience I understand how you feel it's
frustrating because you just don't know if it's worth it to begin or even how to
begin or how to start when no one is following you well I'm gonna solve that
problem in this video all right the first thing you must realize is that
there are two ways to sell an online course or a coaching program or a
mastermind or any type of digital product and that is way one you build an
audience and then you sell them a product right so you first build this
audience for and these are people that haven't bought anything from you
perhaps you've paid either in facebook or YouTube ads or in just organic
methods building your following up you know putting in the time and you build
up all these followers and then you sell a product to those followers that's the
old-school way to do it and not that way doesn't work but there is a much more
efficient way that allows you to sell an online course without needing to build
up an audience further first and that is way number two and that is simply to
build your audience I'll selling at the same time 19800 dan
what does that mean build an audience and sell at the same time how can I sell
if I don't have an audience well that's the thing
one reason that I've been so successful in my business and that my clients and
people that read my book have been successful is because I take a much
different approach and my approach is listen instead of building you know a
huge following of people that were not sure if they are gonna buy put all that
time and effort into building this huge list of people instead why don't we
simply build a list of buyers okay so from the beginning our followers
their buyers right we're only building our following to people who are buying
okay now what does that mean let me give you an example in my book
which by the way I'll leave a link in the description where you get a free
copy of this book but in my book I go through my 30 days to 100k blueprint now
this is a 30 day plan and in this plan here it is right here 30 days to 100k
blueprint now in this plan it goes through day one to day 30 of how I made
$100,000 in 30 days and this was with no existing audience now to get the full
details you'll want to get the book but I'll go ahead and run through a summary
of this real quick for the purposes of this video then if you want the super
nitty gritty details you can get the book all right
so essentially what you're gonna do is you are going to join facebook groups or
vBulletin forums or just any type of social media platform where your
audience is hanging out so let's just say for a moment that you sell a course
on dog training right you'd want to go find every Facebook group that you could
possibly find that has people that are trying to train their dog so this could
be dog owners groups dog training groups etc you could also do this on on forums
or what-have-you basically you want to go where the party's at so your audience
is hanging out somewhere and they're likely hanging out in these different
social groups on the like Facebook groups like vBulletin
forums and what she do is you go there and you start engaging with people
answering questions and providing value showing people that for absolutely free
you can help them and you'll start answering questions making valuable
posts and just engaging with people who are likely to be one day your customers
or the type of people that would be your customers and then what you do is you
optimize your Facebook profile you simply want to put a link in your
Facebook profile that says you know I help people or train their dogs or
whatever it is and then that link simply says hey if you want to join my free dog
training group click here and go join or you could do hey if you want my PDF
guide to the top 10 mistakes people make when they train their dog click here to
get it or both all right so now what happens is as you're going through these
groups and you're providing value people are seeing that you know about dog
training they're seeing that you're helpful and they are going to go ahead
and do the thing that everybody does when you say something interesting and
they're interested in more if they click on your name and they check out your
profile now when they go and they check out your profile they're also gonna see
that you're offering even more value by giving away a cheat sheet or a free
Facebook group or both and all they have to do is click that link to go get it
so now let's just say it's a cheat sheet right they click the link they go get
the cheat sheet and when they're on the cheat sheet it it has a list of cool
things that you've put together but at the end it says hey we're gonna be doing
a free training and we're gonna be doing this free training in our Facebook group
or whatever what have you but we want to make sure this free training is really
really good please go and fill out this survey and let us know what you want to
learn ok so now the people that naturally saw your comments visited your
profile downloaded your cheat sheet they go and they fill out this survey and
when they fill out this survey it gives you all of the answers you need to know
what to sell them how to market it the problems they have etc etc and so you
immediately then do what we call a white board webinar and you pre sell your
program to these people and you base your white board
webinar off of the information you learned from the survey and all it takes
is a phone a whiteboard and one little order page and I explained that all in
the book but you don't need any fancy webinar software or anything like that
any fancy marketing software you just do this whiteboard webinar and again I
cover this in the book and you you make some sales and when you do that if you
make sales right if you if you make some initial sales you now have two things
you have a validated offer meaning people are willing to buy it and here's
the thing if they don't buy you've barely put any time or effort into it
you can just fix your webinar and try again until they buy and once they do
buy then you now know hey this offer is validated I can actually put more time
and effort into it by tools for my business run ads etc etc and all the
while you're still gaining more followers because every day you're
engaging in these groups and you're naturally bringing them in now the
second thing you know or the second thing you have is some money you have
some money to spend on things like ads and software etc etc that's the second
key thing you have so what I did was I was able to make I think it was
something like 12 ish sales my first time doing this I took that money and I
used it to buy the tools I needed and run a actual webinar with slides and all
that to not only the audience I had been getting begun building but to some new
people that I had run some ads for because again I now have some money to
play with because I did that initial whiteboard webinar that stripped-down
webinar and pre-sold my course now once you pre sell your
course you simply teach it live through that group of beta people you cut up the
recording them in a membership area and then you do your your big refined live
webinar to some cold traffic to existing people in your group on your email list
and you sell it for full price ok so when we do the pre so I'm I may have
skipped this when we do the pre sell we want to sell it for a discount
when we do the live refine launch when we already have our membership area set
up we sell it for our full intended price I was able to do this whole
process in the side of 30 days and we did
hundred thousand dollars in sales I was able to do I think like I said about 12
cells initially and then we did a live webinar we had 48 sales we did a second
encore webinar we had 52 sales that's a hundred sales we were charging 997 we
did a little bit over between those two webinars and the initial beta webinar or
whiteboard webinar we did a little over a hundred thousand because again you
don't make much money when you do your whiteboard webinar maybe anywhere from
two to four grand one of my clients knocked it out of the park one time and
did ninety eight thousand and but she already had a bit of a following when
you don't have a following you can expect into like the two to eight K
range but that's two to eight thousand dollars is plenty of money to get the
tools you need spend some money on ads and and now grow and so you see you you
don't start really putting effort into growing your following and tell that
little micro following that you've begun growing is validated that they're buying
that way when you go to actually grow your following spend money on ads spend
time building of whatever YouTube channel or whatever you know that what
you're saying the angles in which you're saying it the way in which your gather
new followers you're not just gathering followers you're gathering buyers and
when you do it this way instead of waiting a long time building a list and
then guessing that they want what you you are offering you build a micro
amount of followers from the beginning and immediately sell them something okay
immediately pull them immediately do that and if they happily buy in the
beginning then as you grow you will not only grow your your followers but you
will grow your income and you will stay lean mean and highly profitable for
instance let me give you an example I only have about 50,000 followers on
Instagram and I think 40 or 50,000 on Facebook now in terms of influencer that
is not that many there are people out there that have 300 400 million to
million followers on social media but they don't make that much money a lot of
them don't in fact I have clients of mine who have five million social media
followers and they don't make that much money that's why they came to me to
on how to make more money and so I work with them to leverage their followers
and to to make more money with a digital product but when they came to me they
weren't really making that much money with that many followers however at the
same time I've made 13 million dollars selling my own digital products and I've
only have 50,000 followers but the reason is because those followers the
people on my email list the people that follow me on Facebook Instagram etc they
are serious people that are buyers and so my value per follower is way higher
way higher a hundred ex probably than most people's followers because they're
just building followers where I am building buyers using that plan that I
mentioned in this book so that said I need you to do a couple things right now
