how to sell your coins
so you have coins that you would like to
sell
maybe you were looking through your
change maybe you inherited a collection
well we're going to talk about that in
this video so stay tuned
so first things first whenever you want
to sell coins you have to know how much
they're worth
so you have to use a price guide you
might go to numis Media online you might
go to PCGS price guide if you're going
to submit coins you want to buy a 2023
red book which you can buy at Amazon I
think the 2024 will be coming out
there's other price guides that you can
buy but you definitely need to know what
your coins are worth ignore YouTube
Channel videos as far as values are
concerned unless they're actually
showing you the values
ignore the title don't base what your
coins are worth off of a title don't
base your values of your coins off of
how much someone's trying to sell them
for on Etsy or eBay
always go with sold auctions you can do
that as well you can actually use eBay
sold auctions like to buy it now or you
can go to Heritage or stacks and you can
look up what they sold for but those are
going to be mostly graded prices
now selling your coins you know and back
up a little bit also depends on what
you're doing here if you if it's just
common coins you know regular type coins
maybe some key dates or whatever then
you can use price guides if you're
looking through your change and you're
trying to sell varieties like Diet chips
and die cracks and all that that you're
seeing on videos it's a little more
complicated we'll we'll talk about that
so anyways once you have your price
guide
then you want to go to a photo grade I
have one on my website here at corn
auctionshelp.com or you can use pcgs's
Photo grade I think they have a photo
great app I do too you can go over to
um Google Play Store and check out my
Google app there so let's say you have
submit errors and you want to know if
they're worth something or not
let's say you have submit errors and you
want the sell them you think they're
been errors well I'm here to tell you
before you ever think of selling a mint
error and you're new at this you need to
get that properly attributed and coneca
variety Vista is one place to help you
identify varieties but ferment errors
you're going to have to go to
airdashref.com
if you're still in question
then you really need to have an expert
look at it and you can come over to our
coin help you community you can post
your images and we can look at your coin
or you can go to connect and actually
under their serviced here I can show you
the link here
just type in coneka
and I'll come up with online.org
and it'll take you to the site and on
the site it has services and its
attribution Services examination
Services they even have a forum so you
can come over there and do the same
thing there
I highly recommend doing that or
you could come over here to Annex okay a
n a c s Coin Grading you go to their
website you can print off their
submission form and submit 10 of your
best coins to any of your most coins you
have the best chance out you think you
do and actually
see if you got me in errors or not you
can submit them to Annex that you don't
have to have a membership it's cheaper
that way you know what you're selling
you don't want to start selling coins on
eBay or anywhere else and not know what
you're doing
okay now
the other thing with that is that if
you're looking for high dollar or let's
say the registry quality coins and
grades and all that you're really making
it more complicated on yourself and
you're just starting out it's difficult
for even a coin dealer that's been doing
it like me for a living to do the find
those grades and get those grades I
really don't recommend trying to do that
stick with maybe some errors and
varieties and then also with just
selling regular coins and if you want to
start out so some of the places you can
sell you can sell at eBay you can sell
them Facebook groups you can try that
out
Craigslist is another place and an
alternate to eBay would be USA coin book
you can sell your coins there
you know there's all these different
social media platforms you can use as
well you can use YouTube once you get
enough viewers you can have auctions on
your on a YouTube channel if you like so
there's different ways that you can sell
your coins
so with that being said you don't want
to make this more complicated and set
yourself up for failure you want to know
the value
you want to know the grade and obviously
you need to know the grade really before
you look up your value you want to make
sure that your mint errors are properly
attributed that you're not selling
something it's misrepresented on and
it's just going to make you look bad
it's going to give you a bad reputation
you're going to pass on something that's
not what it's supposed to be and you
have kuneka
our coin help you community as well as
Annex if you don't agree with us and you
can send it off and find out for sure
what you have you can call Annex okay
you can ask them you can talk to them
sometimes they'll be at coin shows
that's what you want to do if you want
to sell your coins okay it's really not
that complicated but you really need to
know your stuff you know another thing
you can do is Antique Booth you know you
can put some of your coins in an antique
booth or even sell your coins at a local
auction you can talk to a local
Auctioneer I would prefer if you're
going to do that make sure they list
them online so that you can help promote
them online because a lot of people like
to bid online in it more people can see
it than just having just one Friday
night local auction somewhere
also
I have on my coin help you Channel you
