All right, let's go ahead and get the ball rolling today.
Looks like some people are still rolling in but they should be
able to get in no problem. Thanks again everyone for
joining us. My name is Ian Leslie, I'm with SellerActive.
We're really excited to host another webinar with Walmart,
the last one we did with them was a smashing success and got a
lot of good feedback from our customers. So we're really
excited to host this webinar alongside of them today. And
kind of give you some updates on the Walmart marketplace and
what's going on a as well as get all the questions that I know
you guys have or are wanting answers to, from Walmart
hopefully answered for you. And kind of just a quick rundown on
what we're going to be doing today. We're going to do a
couple introductions, we're going to get an update on what's
going on at Walmart on the marketplace, what they're seeing
results wise, you know, people that are shopping with them
different things like that, maybe give you some updates, or
some sneak peeks in regards to what they're going to be doing
in the future, then we'll give you a little bit of just
background on SellerActive and some information on how we can
help you out if you're not already a customer of ours. And
then we have time for some questions and answers. And
there's a little surprise for you guys at the end too. So
stick around for that. We do have people fielding live
questions during the webinar. A lot of them we'll probably save
for the end and kind of go through them with Alicia and I
and actually a couple other people from Walmart as well. We
have Matt Wilson and Zach Hekker joining us too. And they're both
on the channel partner team and also the onboarding team. So if
you guys have questions, feel free to fire away, we have
people that are going to be answering them. And you know,
the best ones we'll save for the end. And we'll give answers for
everyone. And as I said, my name is Ian Leslie, I kind of run the
webinars for us these days, it seems like. I've been a sales
consultant with us for the last five years, I love helping
people you know, kind of get rocking and rolling. Get set up
for success in the ecommerce space. And you know, as you
know, it's always changing. And we're really happy to partner
with Walmart. And if you guys ever need anything, just shoot
us an email or shoot me an email, and we can get you going
to Walmart pretty quickly. And I mean, without further ado, I'll
hand it over to Alicia and she'll get the ball rolling with
the Walmart side of things.
Okay, sorry about that, guys. I was on mute there, but I've got
it all figured out. Um, good morning. Um, if you're joining
us from the west coast, good afternoon, if you're somewhere
else or beyond, um, thanks so much for being here with us
today. Thanks Ian for for the intro and for for kicking things
off here. I'm really excited to join you guys. I am the
Associate Director for our partnerships team. So my team
works really closely with SellerActive, um, to make a
really great experience for you guys coming on board and selling
on the Walmart marketplace. And we want to continue to make that
process and experience the best it can possibly be. So looking
forward to getting some feedback from you guys and talking
through a little bit about about Walmart, ecommerce and Walmart
marketplace today. So let's kick things off here. I believe I
should have slide control. If not, if you can go ahead and
pass that to me. Okay, let's see if this works. All right, great.
So walmart.com today, um, we are getting more than 110 million
monthly unique visitors. So we are getting a ton of traffic to
the site. And it continues to grow month over month. Um, and
as far as growth goes, we're up 40% year over year in growth for
the last two consecutive years. So we've been investing a lot in
the walmart.com experience and the Walmart marketplace
specifically on my team. So we're experiencing a ton of
growth. We think that we're a really great option as you guys
expand your channels that you're selling on. And we have 95
million products live now which sounds like a lot but it's, uh,
we need to expand this assortment to be able to service
the unique monthly visitors that we're receiving, which is why
we're hoping that some of you guys will will join us on the
marketplace here today. Umm, to give you a little bit more
background on who shopped with us, more than half of the people
who shop on walmart.com, are married, or you know, in a
domestic partnership, and of those people, more than half of
them have children. So it's a lot of families that shop on
walmart.com. Our largest demographic within that is the
millennials. So some people are, you know, surprised to know, or
interested to know, that that is the demographic that is shopping
most on walmart.com. So from 23 to 38, and that, umm, more than
half of the of the walmart.com shoppers are homeowners. So our
shoppers, you know, are shopping for a wide variety of products
within our ecosystem. And many of them, you know, more than
half are, own their own homes and shop for products to service
that within walmart.com.
So one of the biggest things that I've learned being here at
Walmart is that we take what our customers say, umm, really
seriously and we consider all of that as we make decisions about
the strategy of the business and how we can help our sellers and
what will be best for the end customer as well. So here is,
when we surveyed our customers recently, kind of what they're
asking for and what they're looking for when they're
shopping on walmart.com. So 66% of them said value, which ties
in really nicely with our everyday low ca-, uh, low
prices. So you know, they want to come, feel like they're
getting a deal, and like they're having a good experience, which
leads to the next thing that's, that's important to the
customer, which is a stress free shopping experience. And that
ties directly to, are they able to get and shop for the
assortment of products that they're looking for. So from
apparel to consumables, grocery products, they want to be able
to kind of have a one stop shop experience, um, and they want it
to get to them fast. So, um, which is a part of the, you
know, next day and two day programs that we've been growing
out, and they want the brands that they love. So they want to
be able to buy from the trusted brands that they love and how,
make sure that those are available with a right
assortment of products. So all of this ties, I feel like,
really nicely into what I think about and what I kind of work
with on my teams to communicate as far as our goals. Like at the
end of the year, I would say for Walmart marketplace, our biggest
goals are around, do we have the products that are the right
price? Are we offering products that are everyday low prices,
that are a good deal that are delighting customers? Are those
products always in stock? So do we have the ability to back up
our listings to have enough products to have the right
products in stock when the customers need them? And we, our
biggest focus is building the most trusted marketplace. So can
you be certain that when you're shopping on walmart.com, and
you're buying a brand or you're buying a product, you are
getting exactly what you paid for, and there's no counterfeit,
there's no question about the authenticity of the products
you're receiving. So those are the real goals that we're
working towards on marketplace. And it's directly in correlation
with the feedback that we receive from our customers. So
I'm going a little bit more into that we are looking for sellers
who can, can meet those high bars for quality and
authenticity. So we are selected by design. So we have an
application process to come on board, we want to make sure that
we're getting you know sellers who have some experience with
ecommerce who will have the ability to ship and ship fast
and delight customers with low prices.
So here's some of the qualifications for coming on
board. A lot of them are pretty basic, but wanted to just touch
through them today. So you have a US tax ID and W9 form, you
have been selling on ecommerce or marketplaces in the past so
you have a, you know, at least a relatively sophisticated
understanding of the ecommerce business and and how this
functions. Um, that you have a product assortment that is
either filling a gap or adding to demand need for products that
we have, you know, search relevancy for, and that the
customers are in demand. So, within that we do require UPC
codes, and we ask that you be competitive on your pricing.
However, we will never, as this is a marketplace, we will never
change your pricing but we just ask you keep in mind the needs
of the customers and that you offer, you know, the best price
that that you can, you know, with still taking into
consideration all of your business needs, and making sure
we can, we can meet the standards and the understanding
of the needs of the customer. With that, reliable shipping. So
can you ship fast? Um, do you have the ability, ability to
ship directly to the consumer? And if not, are you willing to
partner with one of our partners to provide some of those
services for you. And so these are, these are really the the
qualifications for application, for application approval. So
want to make sure that you guys are well versed on that. And
then wanted to take you briefly through the application process
and the onboarding process. I assume, I imagine that this is
probably where we'll get a lot of questions. And I want to make
sure, and I'm just kind of highlighting some of the key
features here. So with applications, we ask that you
just come in, and we will provide as a follow up here, the
link for our application with that is co branded with
SellerActive. Um, and hopefully we can partner together to get
you guys on board Walmart. So you provide us information about
your business, and within your application, there is a
contract, the selling agreement that comes up at the end of your
application, you go ahead from there, you're conditionally
approved and register your account. And so that if you have
applied previously, um, this is a new process that was just
implemented a little over two weeks ago. So we've completely
revamped our application and onboarding process and made
things a lot faster and easier. So you can apply, sign the
contract register, and you're conditionally approved from day
one. On average, this application process right now is
taking about 25 minutes for sellers. So we've been able to
make that a lot more user friendly. And we're seeing
really great results so far, just within this test. And so
and I'm sorry, it really isn't tested within this rollout,
which was, you know, a long time in the making, and went through
a ton of testing previously, but is live in in flight currently.
So you will be conditionally approved, you can go ahead and
begin onboarding in the background, we're going to be
doing that review of your application, a trust and safety
review on the authenticity that you are who you say you are, and
your products are what they say they are and coming from, um,
you know, all through the correct channels. And so while
we're doing that, which takes about two days, you can begin
the onboarding process. SellerActive is happy to help
you guys through that, that integration. And once you're
through the application, we give you approval, you will do a
quick review of the account with you guys, and you're ready to go
lot. Another feature that is is new and recently rolled out that
I wanted to make sure I'm highlighting to you guys is that
we have a new team, the acceleration team, which will be
available to help you for the first 90 days selling and
they'll be dedicated to your account, to make sure that your
listings are optimized to help you with any questions, to make
sure you have the ability to fulfill and utilize the system,
and ship fast. We, things that you know, this, this program
launched over the last month. And we are seeing a ton of
really great response from the sellers. They're really enjoying
working with the acceleration team. And we are excited to see
what the result will be. But already the initial read is that
it's going to help you guys sell more and you know, build GMV and
have a better experience selling on walmart.com.
So this is, and just to go through, and for a lot of you
that maybe you're familiar with marketplaces or selling on other
marketplaces, this won't be new information but wanted to just
touch through it. You guys completely have the ability to
manage your catalog, just list, uh, list your products and price
them at the level that seems, that is fit for your business
needs. We will never change your pricing and so all of that is
managed by your team. Also fulfillment of orders, you will
be fulfilling your orders or you can utilize one of our partners
such as Deliverr for that order fulfillment piece and Deliverr
is also integrated with SellerActive and they'll be
happy to talk to you about the process for utilizing that as
well. And then it's simple, you know, we we will be paying you.
There's no setup fees, there's no monthly fees for for working
with Walmart, we simply have a revenue share system and then
you're paid based on the products that you've sold. So
um, lastly before I hand it over to Ian to continue with you guys
I wanted to touch through some of the programs, with two day
delivery, is our is our biggest program push right now, we want
to make sure that we're getting as many sellers as possible
engaged in the program. Excuse me, engaged in the program,
participating, delighting customers, ultimately, you know,
we know that the market has been conditioned to receive their
products fast. And so we want as many people participating in
this as we can possibly get. Also on this, if you're
utilizing today, you get the ability to utilize our sponsored
products. So that's turned on as an impact of you participating
in the two day program. And the sponsored products program is,
you know, something that sellers are really enjoying, and we're
building out new products and programs for you guys to you
know, better reach your target customers all the time. And
we've rolled out our enhanced returns experience and so that's
another piece that really sets us apart from being an
omnichannel, um, you know, the omnichannel resource in this
industry where, you know, no one else can really compete, and
having the ability to return to store and have a really seamless
process there. So, um, that kind of is everything I wanted to
cover, a little bit just a background on Walmart, ecommerce
and Walmart marketplace and where we're headed, um, and a
little bit through the process of coming on board. Happy to
answer any questions, I have Erin from our acquisition team
who can answer questions for you guys, Matt from onboarding and
Zack for my team and partnerships. So please go ahead
and drop your questions in or we'll do a Q&A towards the end.
But I hope that was helpful. And we'll go ahead and hand it over
to Ian now to give you a little bit more of an overview on
SellerActive.
I think Ian is just getting getting himself off mute here.
So just bear with us for a second during this transition.
Can you guys hear me okay?
We can hear you now. Yes. Great.
Alright. Right on. Thank you guys. And thanks, Alicia. It was
a bunch of awesome information, you know, they really are kind
of just moving at breakneck pace to make it a really good
experience for you know, our sellers and all ecommerce
sellers out there. So if you aren't selling on Walmart
currently, I mean, it's definitely, I mean, if if you
can get approved, it's where you should be. There's really no
question about it. Just a heads up guys, I put in the chat just
now if you guys have any questions at all, you know, feel
free to post them into here, we have people that can answer them
as we go. And we'll field some at the end as well. But in
regards to this SellerActive side of things, I really just
wanted to kind of cover you know what we're all about, how we
help Walmart sellers, and essentially, you know, kind of
highlight some of the reasons that folks are using us and how
they're succeeding on the Walmart marketplace. So,
SellerActive in a nutshell, we are a multichannel listing
management or channel management tool for ecommerce sellers. And
on top of that, we have one of the few automated repricing
tools for Walmart, at this point in time we have repricing across
multiple marketplaces. But our repricing tool for Walmart,
specifically, is really targeted on capturing Buy Boxes for
people. So as you can see here, right, the type of software that
we have helps sellers kind of simplify their business
processes, right. So rather than having to manage all your
marketplaces, from, you know, multiple login screens, and
different things like that, you can do it all within our
platform to kind of automate your workflows, get your data
across all channels, and set up strategies. So you don't have to
sit there all day long, adjusting prices trying to beat
your competition. Those are some of the things we do. And as you
can see in the screenshot here, there are quite a few different
marketplaces that we integrate with. One of the things that our
sellers have been finding is that the reason they're able to
get up and running on Walmart is so quickly is that we've made it
really easy to convert listings from other channels onto the
Walmart marketplace. We've spent a lot of resources and time over
the last couple of years kind of making that process easy for our
sellers. So if you have a catalog listed somewhere else,
we can easily import it into our system. And once you get
approved by Walmart, easily we can get that catalog out to
their channel for you, which kind of gives you a leg up on
the competition that, you know, might be trying to do this one
off, like, we want to make it easy for you to ingest all your
data and get it into Walmart. And then of course, from there,
as you're getting orders placed across multiple channels, we
don't want you to oversell products at all. And so what we
can do for you is automate and you know, update inventory
levels for you at all point in times. And then of course, if
you're using you know, any other software's for order processing,
like ShipStation, or you're working with, you know, partners
that are both of ours, Deliverr, we're going to make sure all
your orders get routed to the proper place, we're going to
make sure that your tracking information gets back to the
marketplace and updated in a timely manner. So you can give,
you know, the buyer of your product a nice experience in
real time.
So in terms of Walmart, in particular, right, we have, we
kind of look at it as tools and services, we provide people an
easy channel product within tools, right. So as I mentioned,
you can have a catalog that has all the data for your listings
already, we can actually pull that into our platform, make
sure that you have all of the required fields for Walmart to
actually list those products out and simply categorize them for
you and get those products listed out on their channel.
Once you have your products listed, you know, if it's a
private label product, you can set up almost like a private
label pricing strategy with us, you can set what we call
velocity pricing, and so say you're selling your own, you
know, cup or something, maybe you want to sell 500 of those
within a month's time. But you want to set sales goals on that,
right? So if you sell more than 500, we can actually drive your
price up for you. So you can kind of you know, increase the
margins on the product. However, if you don't sell that much you
can drop it down. So you can kind of figure out the best
price where people are actually going to, you know, purchase the
item for us. So we have private label selling, private label
repricing available for you. But on top of that, and more
importantly, I think for resellers of items, or people
that are selling competitive items, we have algorithmic Buy
Box pricing strategies. And so one of the things that Walmart's
done really effectively is categorized the catalog on the
marketplace, you know, they have 90 million plus SKUs, and
they've done a really great job of, you know, essentially
setting their marketplace up very cleanly to where multiple
people are attaching onto one product. What that, you know,
benefits us with is the fact that from there, we can
automate, you know, your prices to adjust against the
competition, as more people are getting on Walmart it's becoming
a more and more competitive marketplace, and one that you
know, is having price fluctuations very quickly. And
we have you know, methods and algorithms that's going to, you
know, ensure that you're beating your competition, capturing the
Walmart Buy Box, and from there driving your price up, so you
can make more money while you have it captured. And so that's
something that, you know, our sellers are taking a lot of
advantage of, and seeing a lot of success with on the Walmart
marketplace. The other thing I said, you know, of course, the
inventory syncing side of things, Walmart puts a lot of
weight into the customer experience. So you certainly
don't want to be over selling products on their channel. And
that's where our tool will come into play for you. Right, if
you're selling off your own website and an order comes in,
we'll make sure that inventory gets deducted from you know, the
channels that you're selling on in real time. And that way,
you're not running the risk of over selling products. Another
thing that you can do, right, if you sell kits, bundles, you
sell, you know, five packs, 10 packs or anything, you can set
that up within our platform. And that way you can increase, you
know, the dollar total that people are placing into their
basket on the Walmart channel, or any other channel that you're
selling on. And whenever your bundles purchased, it's going to
automatically deduct your inventory, you know, across all
the SKUs that might make that up. So if you sell a bike or
bike helmet shoes, you can combine all those together there
and you know, increase the size of the order that's going to be
placed. But you'll make sure that if you also have those sold
individually, you're not going to oversell those products at
all. And so that kind of encompasses, I would say, the
tools that we provide, I mean, there's a lot of other ones as
well. And I encourage you guys to reach out to you know, sales
at selleractive.com. And we can certainly walk you through a
demo of the platform. Umm, from there, I mean, you know, feel
free to kind of get a demo and play around and see how it's
gonna work for you. The other piece that I mentioned was kind
of the services side of things. The Seller active services for
Walmart sellers that we provide, you know, on top of the tools
that we have, really make you get set up for success there. So
number one is an expedited seller setup. We have a link
like I mentioned, we're going to get that out to you guys after
the call. So if you're not approved or you haven't applied
to sell on Walmart, fill this application out, it's a joint
application that we have. And we actually have weekly reviews
where we can go through and, you know, kind of look at the new
applications that have come in and make that process to get set
up on Walmart very quick. And what we could do from there,
right, once you're approved, is figure out products that we're
going to see results on, on their channel. Walmart, as
Alicia mentioned, they have kind of priorities on what they're
looking for in terms of product offering. And, you know,
provided that you fall into, you know, one of the verticals, it
is, be it outdoor goods or whatever, you know, we can make
sure that you're going to get set up for success and set up
properly.
Another thing and kind of, as I touched upon before was the
rapid catalog transfer side of things, we're going to be able
to import all of your products and get them listed out quickly.
So not only are we going to get you improved quickly, we're
going to ident, we're going to identify products that you're
going to sell on Walmart that you're going to have success
with. And then of course, from there, we're going to take those
products and get them listed out very quickly. With manual data
entry, there isn't very much that you're going to have to do
in terms of entering data for you know, the Walmart channel.
So kind of one of the things that I was talking about, right,
here's an example of one of our sellers, that's in the pool
supplies vertical, is our Buy Box repricing on Walmart,
Essentially, what you can see, right, is that you have multiple
sellers that are selling on a product just like other channels
that you've seen. And Walmart has done a great job of kind of,
you know, putting someone into the Buy Box, some of the things,
it's the same type of factors, right, that are going to go into
play on other channels, is your lead time to ship, the price
you're selling for reviews, different things like that. And
that's where it's actually, you know, really beneficial to take
advantage of like their free two day shipping program, working
on, you know, their sponsored products and different things
like that, working with companies like Deliverr to give
yourself the best shot to get the Buy Box as possible. And
then on top of that, you put our, you know, algorithm in
place, you're pretty much guaranteed to have the best shot
to capture the Buy Box on Walmart. And as you can see
here, you know, our customer has it for $1896 there's a couple
people that are at $119 for that same product, well, they're
going to be in the Buy Box. We actually have just released some
tweaks to this algorithm. And so in the past that kind of like
hovered down around the bottom to make sure you're in the Buy
Box. But now it's actually going to jump up to where all the
other sellers are. So say you're below, you know, other sellers
that are there, we're gonna make you, we're gonna have you
actually jump up to where they are. And so that way you can,
you know, maximize the profit on the marketplace, rather than
just selling at a lower price point. You know, if your
competitors run out of inventory within this method, it's also
going to jump you up to a higher price point. So you can make
more money while you're the only one on the marketplace, then
when the customers come back onto the marketplace, we'll sell
you at a higher price point from there. And so you know, the
algorithmic Buy Box method for Walmart is a slam dunk for our
customers, they see a really high Buy Box capture rate that
I'll talk about here in a moment. But it's definitely
something to take advantage of if you're selling competitive
items on their channel. Another really useful method and kind of
referring to what Alicia was talking about earlier was that
Walmart wants to have everyday low prices, right. And so you'll
know with our software that you're going to make sure that
you have low prices due to the repricing tools that we have to
offer. But then from there, we can ensure that you're you know,
maintaining price, their pricing policies across channels, and
not undercutting the Walmart price on another channel by
utilizing, utilizing our price mirroring method. So you can
take, say, a Walmart price, and ensure that across the other
channels that you might be selling that product on that
it's you know, marked up a certain percentage. This, you
know, maintains that everyday low pricing that Walmart is
looking for, and also ensures that you're keeping a
competitive price across additional channels to ensure
that you know, you have other opportunities as well. But you
know, we have tools where you can mirror that and whenever
your price changes on Walmart, it will reflect on other places
where you might be selling that product.
So in terms of results that our customers are seeing, within
your, when putting SellerActive into place and utilizing
repricing tools, within your first 60 days, you're going to
see about a 22% jump in your revenue on average. But more
importantly, and more focused on Walmart in particular, you guys
can look at the numbers here, right? You will see a 30% sales
growth just by adding Walmart. And I mean in some cases, we've
seen a much higher number than that. So it's definitely I mean,
the marketplace to be adding as a channel, if you haven't
already, and kind of referring to that Buy Box capture rate, we
really cracked the code on what you need to do to, you know, get
set up for success and make sure that you're getting visibility
on your products. And I mean, you know, 70, 72%, average Buy
Box capture rate is pretty impressive. And I mean, our
customers, you know, they're, they're seeing really good
results on the channel. So you know, whether it be at us or
someone else out there, make sure you have a channel
management tool, when you're adding Walmart as a marketplace,
because it's always changing. And I mean, our CEO always works
with their development team to ensure that things are set up
properly, and make sure we're complying with API changes and
things like that. Because obviously, as they're growing,
they need to adjust how they're, you're scaling the marketplace
as well. And we're always up to date on what's going to be
happening. We're in direct communication with their
development team as well. And that pretty much wraps up I
think, kind of the presentation piece of this webinar, in terms
of... Oh, here we go. I was having issues running into
questions, but now I actually see them here. So in terms of
questions that we have, I've got quite a few of them. And before
I touch on those, we did want to give you guys a special offer
for webinar attendees. So for SellerActive in particular, if
you sign up with SellerActive, you're going to get your first
three months off of your subscription with us, provided
that you're going to be signing up with Walmart as well. And so,
you know, those are some, those are things to definitely take
advantage of and just refer to that and refer that to your
sales rep, when you're talking to our team. You can email us at
sales@selleractive.com, or just go on the website and do a site
chat, and from there, you know, you'll be able to kind of, you
know, address things. Bear with me for a moment, I'm going to
kind of drag out this question and answer screen. This little
webinar panel's kind of funky, hold on here. Alright, and let's
kind of go through some of these here. Alright, so this is for, I
guess, Alicia, this is for the Walmart team, and maybe you can
answer upon it. Does Walmart marketplace have a B2B aspect of
selling? We're a hydraulics company in Florida. We sell
motors and pumps as well as hydraulic motor seal kits in
parts. Would Walmart let a company like us sell on the
marketplace?
Erin, do you want to speak to? I don't know if you have a
specific...
Can you hear me?
Okay, yeah, you're on.
Oh, great. So we do, um, can you hear me?
You're breaking up a little bit.
Hello?
We can, we can kind of hear you.
Can you hear me now?
I was going to say, Erin, it might be easier, do you want to
type your answer into the question area? Because you are
really breaking up?
Yeah. Okay. All right. Yes. Just a sec. Okay.
And Erin, do you see where these questions are now?
You guys will see actually in the webinar chat pane, that
there's something because there's the chat, but then
there's also a question section. And I think we just weren't
seeing that. I'll move on to a different question. However, as
we're going along, let's see here. So Alicia, here's one and
maybe this is actually a good one, because maybe people have
applied for Walmart in the past. It's from Julian, and Julian
asked, "I completed my application a month ago. Should
I do it again? What would you recommend as like the best route
for folks right now to, uhh, I guess go about that. Would it be
ping us?
So yeah, if they've completed an application and they're planning
to work with SellerActive, if we want to, uhh, if you want to go
ahead and ping Ian and then we can work on that internally with
Erin's team.
Cool. Okay. Yeah, so you guys, if you're a SellerActive
customer, just reach out to your rep over here. And you know,
we'll, we'll work through that process with you. If you're not
a customer of ours, sign up for our service, and we'll do our
best to get you approved for Walmart. And another one is,
actually this is a good one as well. We kind of referred to it
during the presentation, but maybe we could add on it a
little bit. Alicia, they're asking, "Are you currently
affiliated with any 3PL platforms or, you know, third
party warehouses?"
So we are, our fulfillment partner at this time is
Deliverr, so as far as any official partnership or
affiliation outside of that, um, we don't have any other
offerings. Deliverr is the core offer.
Yep. And I mean, they're great. They have a great platform. And
it's, it's, that has great results with our customers.
We've done a webinar with you and Deliverr as well. So, um,
what about, and I know there might be, it might be a little
bit different. But is there a minimum GMV requirement for
becoming a seller on Walmart? Can you speak to that a little
bit?
Sure. So we used to, have a requirement around the...
Yeah, Erin, we still can't hear you. I can speak to this one. I
feel pretty good about this one. So we used to have a requirement
for a minimum GMV. We do not anymore. So um, we've removed
that requirement. We just want, um, you know, we understand that
maybe if your GMV is low within another channel, it could be
because that channel has saturation in your civic
category. We want to, um, to allow people on regardless of
that cap, so that has been eliminated.
Awesome. Yeah. I mean, I know, I think, you know, as we've
talked, it seems like a lot of it kind of stems upon the, uh, I
would say, the type of product offering they have, right? So
there might be a little wiggle room for, you know, GMV.
Okay, and I know, we had the question, Erin wasn't able to
write in her answer, but I wanted to speak to the question
around B2B. So we do not have a specific B2B marketplace. But we
do allow, and we see a lot of tr-, traffic for those type of
items. So you'd absolutely be allowed to, encouraged to, apply
for the marketplace. And, you know, we do see a ton of
traffic. And so I'm happy to have you on board.
Yeah, and I can speak to that, too. I mean, we have a lot of
customers in the industrial space, and they're having really
good results on the channel. So definitely a place to list those
products on. And this is this is a question for us from Rick.
Rick, Rick asked if our software is similar to Monsoon's? And
Rick, the the answer for you is it is similar, but we're more so
focused on competitive repricing and efficiency of listing
products, I would say our software is a bit more dynamic
in terms of how we integrate with different channels, as well
as more affordable as well. So I mean, if you're using Monsoon
now, definitely just email us at sales@selleractive.com or hop on
our website. And you know, we can get a rep in touch with you,
we can give you a demo of our platform. And you know from
there, we can help you evaluate how similar we are and whether
we might be a better fit for you.
Um, this is another question, how can we check that our
products are active for buyers to purchase after listing on
SellerActive? So we have, on our end, we have an awesome support
team that works with all of our sellers to ensure you know that
their products are active. But we also have reports that are
available. So say for example, a listing gets deactivated, we can
figure that out and help you guys identify whether or not you
know that listing is active. And if we need to push it active
again. That's something that we can certainly do.
Um, let's see here. So this is kind of like the other one
earlier, we've been selling on Amazon for some time now and
would love to join Walmart. When we completed the application it
was denied without explanation or any way to follow up. Is
there a support team to reach out to? And unless you have
anything to add, Alicia? I mean, I would say the same thing if
you're a SellerActive customer, just reach out to us, and we can
work with their team and get that handled. I don't know if
you guys have a route of communication for them at this
point in time. Can you can you maybe add any insight onto that?
Yeah, so we don't have a customer service phone number or
anything like that, that you that you can call into. I
believe there is an ability to like, a Contact Us, where it
creates a ticket. But the best option would be to work through
SellerActive since your teams are working directly with our
acquisition and onboarding teams all the time. I think that's
probably the fastest way to get through.
Cool. Okay. And the next one, are we allowed to resell
products on Walmart and I mean, I can speak to that, you
definitely can. I mean, they do as Alicia said, they want to
make sure that you're elite, you know, a legitimate seller and
that you have tax IDs and a business license set up. But if
you're a reseller, I mean, that's exactly why our Walmart
Buy Box repricing tool will help you from.
Yeah, absolutely. And you know, um, the Walmart customers are
looking for, you know, a lot of branded items. And so we're
happy to have more of that assortment. Yeah, yep.
Can you walk, can you guys talk through maybe a little bit the
free two day shipping process, so it's uh, do we drop ship and
pay for shipping? Does Walmart pay for two day shipping, any
insight on this would be appreciated.
Sure. Hey, everybody, Matt Wilson here, I can speak to this
one a little bit. So essentially, there are two
methods to do two day shipping. The first of which we already
mentioned is our third party partner Deliverr, what they can
do is they can fulfill a two day shipping nationwide, and really
get that very powerful two day tag. Within the two day shipping
program, in general, the cost is on the marketplace seller, as
you're the seller of record. Now, we also have the ability to
do something similar to Seller Fulfilled Prime, where we
actually grant you that badge. And that can be done at a SKU
level as well as the state level. So really focusing down
where it makes sense from a profitability standpoint on the
marketplace partners. And to do so with the, the latter option,
the what we would call today shipping by the sellers
themselves not through Deliverr, we do ask that you go onto the
platform, prove that you have what we would call low ODR, or
order defect rate, essentially making sure that you as the
partner are able to fulfill through a normal routes. And
then you can apply for the two day shipping ability to
participate in the two day shipping program.
Perfect. Thanks, Matt. And I mean, I would really take
advantage of that, guys, the free two day shipping is how
you're going to set yourself up for the most success and how
you're going to get the most views and how you're going to
capture the Buy Box. And it's definitely something to take
advantage of, you know, if the margins allow.
Mala asked, she joined 20 minutes late, you will get a
recording of this presentation and it will also be on our
YouTube page. And we'll probably send out a blog post that kind
of highlights some of it, so no worries there.
Rick, definitely connect with us. You can even email me, it's
just ileslie@selleractive.com. I'll look you up in our system
as well. We'll see if we can figure out how to get that taken
care of.
Another one for Walmart, courier. Let's see here. And
this might be a good question for you, Matt. Currently, the
Walmart platform doesn't allow sellers to delete and remove
unpublished listings permanently from their inventory. It makes
for cluttered published listings. Is there a way to
remove unpublished listings? Or are there plans to do that?
Sure, it's a great question. It's not a current, something we
can do within Seller Center as of right now, it's definitely
something that we've heard a lot of and we take that feedback
from our seller partners very seriously. I can't speak to a
specific time on the roadmap, just that it is something we're
very aware of, and working to fix in the future. For the time
being, we do recommend, and this is something that's great with
SellerActive, to take those items and retire them. If there
are things that we want to sort of shuffle to the side, that
won't be sellable in the future.
Yep, that's exactly what I was gonna say within our platform,
we can remove them out and you know, you won't see them within
our account, which you, you should be working out of
anyways. So thank you for that.
Another question for Walmart. We're a manufacturer of a
sunless tanning product and meet all qualifications in the past
and have replied with no response. Um, well, actually,
this is another one that kind of goes into what we talked about
earlier, Steve, I would recommend going through
SellerActive for this to try and figure out if we can get you
approved again. So I would you know, if you're a customer of
ours reach out to us, if you're not a customer of ours, reach
out and we can still work with them and try to you know, get
that dialed in for your application.
Um, the next one is in regards to the fee structure of Walmart.
Can you guys speak to that a little bit? Is it similar to
other channels? Essentially, the question is, what are the fees
to sell on Walmart?
Yeah, so there are no, like I briefly mentioned, we don't have
a monthly fee, and we don't have any item setup fees. So truly
the only fee involved is a revenue share, which they're all
listed even even if you just Google Walmart Marketplace
revenue share, our Help page will pop up there. And our
revenue shares, I mean, are definitely comparable or
competitive with the industry standard, but we don't have any
items that add up any monthly fees, which we think is you
know, a little bit about adding some of that value back to the
seller.
Cool. And the next one is in regards to, if Deliverr helps
with Walmart, what's the benefit of working through SellerActive?
So the reason we work so well with Deliverr is that you could
work with them directly with Walmart, but really, they're
just going to handle order flow for you. SellerActive is a whole
multichannel management system, and so kind of like we talked
about earlier, is, and that was actually probably before you
came in, Mala. But there are a lot of features that we offer
folks that make it really easy to get set up on Walmart and
working with Deliverr, I would definitely recommend if you
could put your email in this chat, because you asked if you
want a link to, if we can email you a link to the recorded
presentation. That'd be awesome. So if you can put your email
here, that'd be great. And I'll just email you for, you know,
more information.
Another question, do you guys have any, this was probably more
of a question, I think, for Deliverr. But do you guys have
any negotiated shipping rates with any carrier, carriers? I
think it's in reference to the two day shipping.
I can touch on that briefly. So, so let's say you do have the
ability to request through our Seller Help section, some of the
advanced FedEx rate card that we do carry. We can't share exactly
what the rate card is until you request it, due to just legal
reasons. But something that I definitely would encourage all
the sellers to do is to open up a ticket through Seller Center
if you're a current seller. Once you get into Seller Center, if
you are not a current seller, you can you can open a support
case and request that FedEx rate card link.
Cool. Thank you. Um, let's see here.
Ian if I may, I'm going to jump in on a past question. I think
there was something about...
Oh, go ahead.
resellers, I just want to make it clear that we don't actively
support what we would consider retail arbitrage. That is we
don't want to have a Walmart customer getting a Costco box
and Amazon box. But for pretty obvious reasons, I would hope,
for the crowd here.
Yep, totally. Yeah, Rick, we do we do integrate with Shopify as
that, we I could talk to you more about that as well. If you
want to put your email in here, I can reach out to you when
we're done with this webinar, and we can take it from there.
In regards to you know, any other questions, I think we've
kind of covered everything at this point in time. If people
have any other questions, you know, feel free to put them in
now.
Let's see here. Yeah, I mean, I think we're, I think we're
pretty much good to go at this point in time. Is there anything
else that you guys want to add today? We're actually getting
done a little bit early, so happy to field some more
questions. But if not, we'll let you guys get on your selling
merry way.
And I do just want to call out, if you have applied in the past,
there's no need to reapply, um, essentially if you do reapply at
this time, it will not allow you to move forward, our system does
tag that. So if you have applied in the past, and you want to
inquire about your application, go ahead and get with
SellerActive and we can work with them to push any
applications possible that we can move forward. We're happy to
do that.
Yep. I mean, we're just asking, answering your question, how
long is the turnaround time to get approved on Walmart's
platform? if you're working with us or another channel management
partner, it's going to be a lot quicker. And I mean, they
they've really sped up their process. And so I would
recommend, you know, reaching out to us and we can take it
from there.
Yeah. And, you know, like I said, our application process is
much faster now. And conditional approval is available, as long
as you make your way all the way through the application,
register your account and sign this selling agreement. So you
can be through that process in 25 minutes, and beginning the
onboarding process. And then typically it takes us about 48
hours to do our application review, and trust and safety
review, on our side and then provide you with the further
approval and ability to go live.
Yep, perfect. A couple, a couple questions, just in regards to
our cost and how much SellerActive costs. We're, we're
a very affordable platform, you can go to our website, just
selleractive.com and see all of our pricing tiers there. We do
have a live chat feature that's within, on the website in the
bottom right hand corner. And so I recommend if you want to reach
out and you know, look at our pricing, if you want to see a
demo, see if it's going to be you know something of value to
you. Just hop onto our website and we can take care of it that
way.
One more actually that came in from Raj Collection, if they get
approval on Walmart and they want to change their company
name. Is that possible now, Matt?
Sure, I mean that there's essentially a couple different
kinds of changing company name, obviously want you to apply with
the legal name. But if we're talking the display name that is
sold and shipped by your company, that is something that
you can change within your Seller Center settings.
Perfect.
And just as a further point, if you are changing any other sort
of legal information, you're unable to do so within the first
10 days after you go into Seller Center. And then if we're doing
something like a change in tax ID, it'll go through a trust and
safety review just to make sure, again, that you are who you say
you are.
Perfect. Alrighty. And I think that's going to take care of it
today. I really appreciate you know, everyone attending the
webinar, and you know, definitely having Walmart here
as well, we should thank you so much for your time. And Matt,
thank you for the insight. I don't know if you guys have
anything else to add at this point in time?
No, we're just you know, we're really excited about growing the
partnership with SellerActive, about getting more sellers on
like, really great sellers on the platform, we want to make
the experience more seamless and more enjoyable. We think we've
made some great improvements. We're going to continue to
iterate upon that and get as many of you on board as we can.
So I'm really looking forward to hopefully getting some new
sellers live very soon. And thank you so much for taking the
time out of your busy days to to be with us and learn a little
bit more.
Yep. And now if you haven't done it, go apply for Walmart and if
you are applied for Walmart, come apply for SellerActive,
too. So thank you guys so much. I'm gonna shut this down today,
we will have a webinar recording out shortly. Don't forget to
reference the referral code that we have. And we'll see you next
time, be on the lookout from-oh, go ahead.
The last thing I want to say, in that email you're going to
include the cobranded link for the application so that we make
sure we're tracking the applications and that they are
through the SellerActive, umm, through this webinar today. So
make sure you include that link in the email, and anyone who's
on if you're planning to apply as a result of this webinar,
please use the link that Ian provides in the email so that we
can track, also.
