hi I mean four means attracting and I'm
going to talk a little bit about
training for being a trail to machu
picchu now there's lots of inca trails
it's a match of picchu we're going to
talk about the kind of four-day and
traditional inca trail track that used
to book way in advance there are a lot
of other ways and to get onto trek to
machu picchu but they don't go to walk
into machu picchu but most of the trips
we run around the six takes our entire
route which enters the traditional inca
trail or the 4-day Inca Trail now we
have other tracks in South America and
you can check out our website for those
trips but for trek training for inca
trail you're going to be going up and
down steps big steps thinkers and the
caches or big people and they build big
steps and they can be super challenging
on the way down more so than on the way
up and yes the trail is four days and
the two days in the middle of very long
days you know starting at 5:00 6:00 in
the morning and you don't finish till
five or six meet in the evening the
first day not so difficult going up 400
meters to camp and then you've got as a
meter ascent or to a 1,100 meter of
sandwich 4,000 feet up to a high pass
and then dropping back down to three and
a half thousand meters so seven hundred
meter drop or two that just over two
thousand feet and all our steps most of
the time especially when you hit the
second day so you really have to be
prepared to be you need to come prepared
you're going to be carrying a backpack
you're going to have five or six kilos
or 12 pounds in the backpack sometimes
people carry all their gear through the
inca trail so training with the backpack
on it's going to be important training
on steps is going to be absolutely vital
stepping up and then doing additional
weights squats and lunges and steps up
and calf raises and all these types of
activities will need to be done and in
preparation for the inca trail because
if your safety is so important as you
make your way down to Machu Picchu which
sits below where you start if you
started in Cusco with 11,000 feet or
3400
here's matching features at 2400 7-6 in
key so you need to come prepared you
need to be trained with a backpack you
need to be training up steps
