everything you know about packing is
wrong
every time I pack my bag my clothes come
out wrinkled it turns out I've been
doing it all wrong
I called some packing experts and
instead of classic folding and stacking
I learned I need to be bundle wrapping
creases and wrinkles happen inside bags
when clothes move up against each other
and when pressure is applied to false
that's folding and stacking to a tee but
in bundle wrapping you're gonna make a
soft flat central core and firmly wrap
your clothes around it layer by layer
the tension cuts the wrinkles because
there's few folds it eliminates creases
if you have a jacket do that first
collar side down arms out then lay a
long-sleeve shirt 180 degrees to that
and smooth it flat with the arms out and
collars up arrange them so the edge of
both collars touch just the edge of
where the core will go working from most
tailored to least arrange your clothes
with shirts on the vertical and pants on
the horizontal the last layer of
t-shirts will end up in the middle of
the bundle drop your core back in the
center and start wrapping wrap the
shirts around the core sleeves first
then the body then the pants completely
fold the fabric around the core because
the material stays straight and gets
wrapped not folded there's no wrinkles
wrap the next layer around that layer
wrap wrap wrap smooth out any gathered
fabric as you go nice bundle have your
beautiful garment burrito in your bag
and strap it in just make sure there's
nothing critical in the center while
bundle wrapping wins for wrinkle
fighting it's not the most accessible or
tsa search friendly
