welcome i'm Tyrande with foods 101 i've
had a lot of requests on how to make an
egg over easy and i'm going to show you
how fast and easy it is to do first
we're going to add a couple of teaspoons
of olive oil to the bottom of the pan
this is about an 8 inch pan I've got it
sitting over medium-low heat and we're
gonna swish the oil around now if you
want to use butter or coconut oil you
may do that too now I've had my eggs
sitting out for about 15 minutes and
we're going to crack the egg open and
you're gonna slowly add it here into
your skillet and we're gonna let the
heat from the bottom of the pan slowly
warm up the egg white till we see no
bottom of the pan showing as you can see
the white edges are starting to cook
these turn out perfect every single time
if your egg starts to bubble around the
edges you have got your heat to high but
the best way you can avoid that is to
pick it up and take it off the heat and
let it cool down just a little bit
because even right now there's enough
heat on the bottom of this pan where if
I set it back here on this back burner
this egg will continue cooking so stay
with me and I'm going to show you how
this clear egg white is going to turn
completely white before we get ready to
flip it over

now this doesn't really take long but
I'm gonna add I'm gonna get underneath
my egg here with a spatula and I'm going
to move it around so it won't stick and
let me tell you folks the nonstick
skillet Tsar really the best to use for
your eggs over-easy and you can see how
you can still see the spatula underneath
the egg that orange color well I'm just
going to let it cook a little bit longer
so when we do put the spatula under our
egg we can't see the spatula through it
that way you'll know the bottom of your
egg over easy has cooked I'm gonna give
this about another minute but remember
you're gonna want it on low heat if it
starts bubbling around the edges here

all right now it's time to turn your egg
flip it upside down and as you can see
we're gonna let it cook just a little
bit underneath pull a little bit of oil
under here and we're gonna continue
letting this cook until it's completely
cooked I don't like any of the white
showing in my egg
I like the whites completely well done
and of course I like the yolk in the
center nice runny and warm
now you can put this on the back burner
and you can continue letting it cook
slightly because if you pick it up it
should stay right on your spatula if you
want to touch it if it gives just a
little as you can see and it springs
back you'll know the whites completely
cooked and the yoke will still be nice
and warm so I'm going to transfer this
right onto the plate and if you'd like
you can add a little fresh cracked
pepper you can add a little bit of
kosher salt or whatever else you want on
it and I'm gonna break into it and show
you how perfect that egg is you're not
gonna get better with that hey y'all
these are my tips eggs over-easy are the
perfect things to make and look how
perfect that is no white running just
the yolk nice and warm gotta give it a
try
