How To Turn Off Friend Suggestions On Facebook

showing you how to block friend
suggestions from facebook
now this will come as notifications
either on your web browser or on the
mobile app on your smartphone
so to block these friends suggestions
from facebook simply go to the web
browser if you're using facebook on our
web browser
and then sign into your account if you
haven't already
and then in the top right corner you
want to find this little download facing
arrow click on it
and then go to settings and privacy
click on that
and then go to settings and click on
that basically that will take you to the
facebook settings page
now on the left hand side panel you want
to go ahead and click on notifications
and that will open your notification
settings
now in the notification settings you
want to find this section that says
people you may know
click on that to expand that
and then as you can see it's currently
allowing notifications on facebook for
french suggestions when facebook sees a
person it thinks i may know so you want
to go ahead and turn that off completely
and that should turn off friends
suggestions from facebook
now if you're using facebook on the
mobile app either android or ios you
might find these friends suggest your
notifications and they might be annoying
at times
so to stop them what you want to do is
launch the facebook application
and then you're going to tap on the menu
in the bottom right corner
and then scroll and look for settings
and privacy
or you can simply tap on this settings
wheel icon in the top right corner
depending on whether you're using an
iphone or not either way you're going to
land on the settings and privacy page
now on this page you want to find
notifications
tap on that
on the notification settings page find
people you may know tap on that
and then why it says allow notifications
on facebook you want to turn that off
and confirm you want to turn it off
and that will have turned off from
suggestion notifications from facebook
you'll no longer be getting those
notifications and that's basically how
to turn off friends suggestions on
