are you frustrated with painful calluses
on your hands from lifting that make it
hard to grip the bar and sometimes tear
let's talk about it
now if you've been lifting for any
length of time i'm sure you've
experienced these today what i'm going
to do is show you the exact advice that
i gave olympian mirabai chinoof india to
help her with her calluses on her hands
that limited a lot of training time
right before competitions there's two
tools you're going to use to keep your
hands healthy now the first is a nail
trimmer after you tear a callus you're
going to usually have a flap of skin
that's still attached now make sure that
you wash your hands keep the wound clean
but after a few days that area is going
to harden up as it continues to heal and
that flap of skin will go from soft to
hard you want to at that time take your
nail trimmer and work around that area
and remove that excess dried skin so it
doesn't continue to tear and next you're
going to use a callus remover this is
going to be maybe a once or twice a week
type of thing for any lifter make sure
that those calluses get filed down and
don't grow too large or else you risk
re-tearing and having those painful
hands
