sleep paralysis it's real it's
terrifying but here's how you can
prevent it have you ever woken up in the
middle of the night and found yourself
literally unable to move maybe even had
visual auditory or tactile
hallucinations then you may have
experienced sleep paralysis a terrifying
ordeal that affects up to 10
of the population during sleep paralysis
despite your conscious state your
muscles are frozen due to disruption
between rem sleep and wakefulness while
there's no definitive cause of this
disruption it has been linked to some
medical conditions
insomnia shift work narcolepsy ptsd
anxiety stress and panic disorder so
what can you do to prevent this
get seven to nine hours of sleep nightly
go to bed around the same time
exercise regularly don't eat smoke drink
alcohol or caffeine right before bed and
don't sleep on your back if all that
