How to Create Shared SMB Folder Windows 10

hi guys in this video we're gonna take a
look at how you can create a shear SMB
folder on Windows 10 so the first thing
we want to do is open up this PC this
Windows Explorer and then we're going to
decide where we want to create a new
share folder so let's say we want to
create a share folder in the system C
Drive we can open one up and then right
click on a blank space from the top menu
select new and select folder and we're
gonna keep the folder a name I'm going
to name it the SMB and enter then we're
going to right click on the folder and
from the top menu we choose properties
then we're gonna click on share button
and then click on advanced share sharing
advanced sharing and then we're gonna
choose how to share this for the check
box and at this point you can keep your
share folder a name or you can use the
default name next we're going to go down
and click on permissions button down
here and in the permission box we're
going to click on Add button and I'm
gonna put in the username
I want to grant the permission to this
folder so my admin and I'm going to
click on chickens now if there is a
valid user name it will shows windows
May I mean if I put in some invalid
username then if I click on check names
you can see it's a name not found so
make sure that you put in the correct
user name on your computer if you want
to check you see what user name is
available you can click on the windows
button here click on the Settings icon
then click on accounts and in here click
on this is your local account and if we
click on family and other users you can
see I have created this might have been
account right here available for me to
use so back to this select user or
groups now that we have my admin I'm
going to click on OK and then we want to
grant full control full control
permissions to this folder for this
username
and we're gonna click on ok and then
click on ok and in here we're gonna
click on security trap and then we're
going to click on edit button and then
click on add and I want to put in my
admin and click on check names to make
sure that the user name is valid then
we'll click on OK then down here make
sure my mini selected and we're going to
grant full control permissions so full
control and then click on apply and ok
then we've just done a double check to
make sure that username is added so here
is my admin has been added and we're
gonna click on the close button and
that's it so now we have successfully
created the folder on my cheerful on the
C Drive and that's all you have to do
now you can use your mobile phone
laptops or any other device to share
files to this folder or copy files from
this folder to your device so that is
quite straightforward that's how you can
create a share folder and that's it
