today i'm mounting a winch up on this uh
big old uh
tilt trailer so pretty much
a big old winch from harbor freight
so ended up taking it out of the box
last one that they had
got it here's the like the the
the wire lead or whatever you want to
call it um
here's the mounting holes there's bolts
in it in the box
and there's no there's nowhere to mount
it there's only
mounting holes with different bolts in
the bottom of it
so basically what we decided is
we're gonna do this weld it on there
and then on the back side
we're going to make a plate that goes
across here cut out a little square
plate rectangle plate
weld that on and then we're going to do
basically a receiver i'll cut this down
put a receiver on it then it'll slide
right into there
and then a square tube up here with the
receiver welded to it
so it'll be removable just simple easy
cheap little material
working with what we got so i am uh i'm
gonna get some stuff set up here with
everything that i have and uh get it all
cut and laid out
and welded so we'll get to it
[Music]
uh
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
so
[Music]
oh
[Applause]
[Music]
all right guys my phone died so here's
an update
i got the square tubing all sanded out
welded on to the front
of the trailer i got the plate made
it's mounted up on the underside of the
winch
so we're just burning on the sleeve and
then
soon enough we'll weld this to the
bottom of the plate and we'll have a
little winch mount that's removable
so i'll set you up and we'll weld the
other side and get to it
[Music]
so
so
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
so
so
all right
she is welded
[Applause]
[Applause]
all right now we're ready to mount it so
it'll be super simple
everything's super hot right now
a little wiggle room of course just like
a receiver would
you'd expect that
boom ready to go
it's not it's that easy you just slip it
right on and off throw it in your uh
in your back of your truck to keep it
safe
throw it in your house or your garage
just
simple easy little setup
when you don't really have much to work
with and you want it nice and low
so worked out pretty good
all done all set up ran into a problem
uh the winch from factory actually came
with no screw hole to
bolt this in so ended up being able to
just weld it to the front of the plate
it is super solid doesn't move so it's
just the guide
so yeah just ended up
getting it welded up on the side there
and underneath it
oh yeah
came out awesome
so
it's the badland zxr 1200 or 12 000
my bad
see if he has good luck
