hey bronies and welcome back to another
sims 4
modding and custom content video for
beginners
[Music]
so today i'm coming to you guys with
part two of our
series all about modding i break down
everything step by step if you have no
idea
anything about the sims 4 and custom
content or modding this series is
for you i'll be showing you guys how to
install it in your game installing
mods and cc into your sims 4 game is
very very simple and
very very easy i'll be covering steps
for not only pc users
but mac users and once again of my
disclaimer that i'm going to put on
every single video
if you are on console you should not be
watching this series because
you cannot get custom content and you
cannot mod on
console or mobile custom content is a
form of modifying your game so we'll
have to find the appropriate folder
to place these modifications so that
they show up in-game so the name of this
folder is called your
mods folder you'll hear people throw
that term around a lot it's called a
mods folder it's literally named mods
mods folder i'm going to take you guys
to my desktop real quick and show you
guys where mine is
mine is going to look a little bit
different from you guys's because
i have tons of stuff in my mods folder
and i organized it the way i personally
like it so it's totally fine if you
either a don't even see a mods folder or
b
you have a mods folder and there's
nothing in it you are in the right place
if you are looking for this folder and
you do not find it that means you have
not booted your game up for the first
time so before you get to this step
you'll want to turn on your sims game
close your game down and this folder
will be created so the steps to get to
your mods folder are going to vary
depending on if you're on pc or mac i've
played on both i actually started on mac
and then i
switched over to pc if you're on mac
you'll want to hit
finder your little finder thing to get
to your documents
and if you're on pc we just go straight
to our document
so i'm on my document and i'm going to
go electronic arts
the sims 4 and then i'm going to go to
my mods folder
and this is my mods folder now yours is
going to be
empty most likely you're going to have
this resource file probably in there but
it's probably going to be empty if
you've never put anything in your mods
folder
this is the magic folder all the sauce
all
this is the secret this is where all of
your mods and your custom content
will live and you can organize it
however you see fit there are so many
videos on how to organize
i myself will be dropping my personal
way of organizing my mods folder
which is pretty much just taking little
bits and pieces from
my favorite people and how they
organized their folders i took little
pieces of what they do
and created my own little style we're
going to start with
what cc is what it isn't where to find
it how i personally use cc in my game to
enhance it and then in future videos
we'll just go ahead and break down
everything
step by step by step
