back to the channel as you can tell by
the title today's video
we are getting into sims 4. um so this
is the different direction of that i've
ever done for my channel um you know the
types of videos i do as lifestyle and
beauty and stuff like that but if you
know me you know that i love sims 4 so i
decided to bring that type of content to
my channel
um so first things first i wanted to
show you guys how to install and
download mods so i've been playing sims
for about five years i think um i had an
xbox like xbox one or something that i
used to play and download sims on um and
i played that for maybe three years of
my time and then i got a macbook
a year or two ago if you haven't seen my
christmas haul from like two years ago
go watch that um but since i got it on
there
i've been playing ever since um so the
main difference basically is that you
can download like mods so for those of
you who don't know what mods and like
custom content so also known as cc those
of you who don't know like mods and ccs
are it's basically stuff that can add to
your game so kind of like like these
expansion packs and the game packs and
stuff packs that you can buy
um
from sims or from origin or wherever you
get your game from
um or ea whatever
these are free so you don't have to pay
for anything you just
download them to your um pc
and you can play them um so you can't do
that on xbox which is really why i
wanted a macbook honestly um just so
that i can kind of venture out and see
what mods are about because they look so
much more fun um and make the game a lot
more realistic um so the next video i
will be doing is like my favorite mods
and cc's and stuff like that but first i
wanted to show you guys how to install
and download those so without further
ado let's get into it

all right so first things first you
obviously want to have sims 4 downloaded
so
the only way that you can have miles and
cc's and custom contents and stuff like
that is to have it on the computer so
you can do this on mac or pc
um but you just want to look up the sims
4 game and then buy stems for so you'll
be on ea.com and it'll give you a couple
of options for downloading so depending
on like if you have a mac or windows
whatever
um
that's um basically how you can download
it so i have a mac so i use origin
um i think steam
might not be for mac at all because i
think i tried steam first and it didn't
work um
so as far as getting the game
it takes you straight to origin you can
create an account stuff like that and
basically you just hit buy now and then
origin will download to your computer
the game should be like five dollars if
it isn't five dollars just wait till it
goes on sale because it's always on sale
um but basically
origin will download to your computer
and it'll be right here
um and then since you bought sims 4
that'll also download to your computer
and it'll be somewhere next to it um so
as far as mods and ccs go
once you have the game downloaded um you
want to go to it's on
my icloud as you can see so this little
drop down arrow right here
um shows like my documents and stuff
like that so you want to make sure
you're in documents and you click ea
click sims and it'll take you into a
miles folder
you want to click on box as you can see
like i have a lot of mods downloaded but
yours should be empty so once you find
your mods folder you want to keep this
open so as you can see like i always
just have this open by itself so that i
can always just drop the mods and where
they're supposed to go um but you just
want to make sure that you have this
open
so we're going to download them out so
that you can see
what i'm talking about
okay so typically how i get my mods is
basically just like looking on instagram
um tic toc is also a good place to find
mods and stuff especially like if you
like more urban stuff or um
you know if you're black if you want you
know yourself to look how you look
tic toc i definitely do that um but like
i said i just search it like sims 4 mods
and i just scroll through the videos
and really like i can find the links and
within the bio like you don't even have
to watch the whole video to get the mods
that you want so like her she already
has the stuff listed
um and like so mcc is the control center
um which i'll get into more in my next
video but like they just basically have
what the names of mines are and the
links to them it's like memory book i'm
gonna go ahead and download that one
so they'll take you to um
the website so this is probably rubbish
and it's probably like who made the mod
or whatever um it'll just get it give
you the link directly for that and then
most of the times like you can see
exactly like what the stuff will look
like and like
if you know anything about like the game
packs and stuff packs suspension packs
etc
they will also like be incorporated into
your game like not just like be
something
um
that you can see like the memory book is
also like a custom content because
it's something that you can use in build
mode and stuff but like the mods are
stuff that's more like more similar to
like the expansion packs and game packs
like this stuff can affect your moods
your sims can really interact with that
type of stuff you know like stuff like
that so that's the difference between
like a mod and a cc but basically you
just hit download
and then it'll ask you if you want to
down um a lot of downloads so i just hit
allow
and then it should go
it should go to my downloads so as you
can see it's this first one right here
this is our this is where i always keep
my miles photo open
um so you can just basically all you do
is you click and hold
click and hold and you drag it into the
mouse folder
so now
i'll show you um how to get that going
on the sims
okay so my game just updated so this is
actually perfect
um because every time i get restarts or
downloads or updates whatever
um the mods
is disabled so i can really show you
like how exactly
to get those so when you get into your
home screen um what you want to do is go
to options
from options you go to game options
from game options you go to other
so as you can see enable custom my
content and mods is not enabled so you
want to click that so that it is and
then you have to restart the game
i'm going to
restart the game and come back when
that's done so as you can see um as soon
as my game loads up it shows me like the
mods and stuff that i have downloaded um
i just it's an option you don't have to
see that every time but like i said like
these are all the mods and cc's that i
have downloaded um so that just makes
sure that the stuff you know is in
basically you just go and play the game
and then
this way like the expansion packs as
soon as you um download an expansion
pack or something it'll already be in
the game
you know like you don't have to do
anything go to build mode or anything
unless it's some custom content that you
want so like this memory book it's a
custom content just because it's a book
you know like it's not
like wicked whims or like something that
they can't like an interaction or
something like it's
a custom content where that they can
interact with so i will have to go to
build mode and make sure that's in their
house
so that we can see your work basically
okay so this is not the household or the
family that i usually work with
um
mine i forgot that i uh wanted to like
remodel the whole house they don't even
have a house right now and i forgot
about that so we're just going to do it
on this household because it's the same
it's fine
so most of the time
i just type in like um
just type in the name of the mod or the
cc um because it's just easier
to find that way to me
so

we're gonna do that
and as you can see it comes up so let's
put this
like on the table or something it's not
a big deal we just want to make sure
that it works
and a lot of the times they have like
different colors and stuff
um i'm gonna just go with this color
just to have it out you go to live mode
so make sure that it works and there's
no hiccups or whatever whatsoever
um
and then once you click on it it has a
couple different interactions so
i'm sure that if i opened it
you can see like in her inventory so
since this is a memory keeper i'm a
summoner you can put like pictures and
stuff in here
i haven't used this before so let's see
so these are like icons so like if she
would have gotten married i could have
you know put the ring in there and i
think i'm able to write in the book
so you can choose who is giving you this
memory or like who to marry who the
memory was with
and then yeah so you can make select the
wedding icon so like the ring i can put
a ring and then i can make it the author
of my spouse you know like if it was a
vlog that he gave to me that i wanted to
remember or whatever you put in a memory
book and then that's up to me to write
and type and stuff like that all right
so ultimately that is how um mods and
ccs work just like the one i just showed
um a lot of the mods and stuff like that
are very similar
um if they are like the memory book or
sometimes like with food mods and stuff
like that you might have to
go in the build mode and like put the
food like if you wanted to plant
if you wanted to plant like a cocoa bean
or something you might have to um
going to build mode and like drop that
you know in the world and stuff like
that but most of the times the mods are
just like interactions and stuff like
that um because that's what makes it a
mod you know so stay tuned for my next
