many parents wonder when it's time to
move their kids from a crib to a bed and
the time at which that's appropriate is
different for all kids for example you
might have an adventurous 12 month old
who's trying to crawl out of his crib
and it's time to get into a bed at that
point but you might have a very calm
sweet little girl who's not really into
climbing and she'll stay in her crib
till she's 2 years old and then once she
reaches the weight limit for her crib
it's time to move her into a normal bed
for example my first child was a little
girl and that was her she didn't try to
climb out of her crib and she would just
stay in her bed and be nice and happy in
the morning and so I just let that
sleeping dog lie till she got too big
for the crib but I have a 14 month old
son who's wanting to try to climb out of
his bed and so out of the crib so it's
probably going to be time for a bed soon
that brings with it a whole new set of
issues because how do you keep them in
the bed and not have them wandering
around the house at night another thing
to factor into that is potty training
once you've started to potty train your
child it's best to have them in a bed so
that they can have access to the toilet
at night without your help so talk it
over with your child's father and
together you can decide when the best
time would be to move your child from
the crib to the bed if you have any
other questions for me though feel free
