show you guys a couple ways to check
if a iphone is stolen or not at this
method
we're going to show you guys a couple
ways to do that and explain to you why
it's important to check especially if
you're buying a
pre-owned iphone or if you're just
looking
to buy a phone already have phone and
you're having issues with it it's really
important to check if iphone
is stolen for many reasons besides you
know someone knocking in your door and
you find out it's a cop or something
like that so
we're going to show you guys how to look
for it and what to do as well but before
we go ahead and get started if you guys
are new to a channel we do a lot of tech
news reviews and giveaways so make sure

and talk about checking if iphone is
stolen or not
there's a couple ways to go about doing
that first method is simply going to be
getting the imei of that phone number so
if you're buying a phone
pre and ask for the imei number the imei
number can be found in a couple ways
here
you can go into settings and then go to
general
and then about and the imei number it's
going to be down
located right here and you can go ahead
and copy that by pressing and holding
you can also find the imei number on the
sim card tray if you pop up the sim card
tray you'll see
underneath there's a 15 digit code
that's the imei number on the older
generation
previous generation iphone 6 or older
it's also printed on the back but the
newer phones don't have that
printed on the back so there's a couple
ways to get the imei
number it's really important to get the
imei number because that's the only way
to really
check and the first thing you want to do
is of course go ahead and to
open up any sort of browser you have and
you're going to do
is google stolen
iphone checker
and once you have done that you're going
to be going to this site
known as stolenphonechecker.org
so as you can see here this is a stolen
phone checker of four
us of course if a phone has been ever
stolen
it's most likely going to show up here
and what you can do is take the imei
mid or even esn number if it's android
or other devices
and what you're going to do is copy and
paste that number in and once you have
done that you can check mark that you're
not a robot
and once you have done that hit that
submit button okay so invalid we're
going to paste that in
so you can't have any of these spaces in
between so remove all the spaces it
should be a
straight 15 digit code and we're going
to try that one more time
and as you can see here pretty much
tells us the imei number
and then once you checked it as of right
now this phone has not been
reported lost or stolen and it tells us
his iphone 11 model and we're good to go
so this is the first way to check really
good way to check
if iphone is stolen or ever was reported
stolen or things like that or even loss
so that's how you
check that the other way you can do is
actually there's another site called
imei
pro you can also do this one it's these
are three ways to
check here you can check uh blacklist as
well
along with stolen or reported loss which
is which pretty much goes in
hand-to-hand
same thing go ahead and paste that imei
number checking out a robot
and then hit that check button let it
process
and let's see if we got something as you
can see here as it says blacklist status
it's clean
and we're good to go there's multiple
sites that allow you to do this free
checks and it's really important
to run a check especially if you're
buying a pre-owned device
for a lot of money the other thing to
protect you guys especially if you guys
are buying a phone
locally uh you might be able to do is
what's known as bill of sale to protect
you or if you're not
if you're buying it from an individual
if you're buying it from a store or
something always make sure to get the
receipt and things like that that will
help you as well
another site you guys might want to
check out is swappa
and then swap esn so it's going to be
swappa.com
esn you can also go ahead paste it in
here
same thing another check it will go
ahead and
check that for you you have to log in of
course here to check that data
but it will come up with all of that
information here
so those are a couple ways there's also
mult other ways you can google
for them and that will pretty much help
you determine if a iphone
is stolen or if ever was stolen anywhere
um in any location ever so hopefully
