people that don't want to use a chemical
control but unfortunately if you grab
that bottle that you've got in your
house you'll never get results like this
because if you're gonna use vinegar to
control weeds and you actually want it
to work you've got to know what you're
doing
how to apply it but lastly you've got to
select the right kind of vinegar because
they're not all the same vinegar is able
to kill weeds by drying them out and to
do that it uses its acidity now most
people know the vinegar is sour but you
may not be aware that vinegar comes in
different varieties your household
vinegar only has a 5% acidity level and
that's not a lot of power for killing
weeds now sure if you spray this on some
it might hurt them but overall you will
not get good weed control but you want
to be able to kill all the weeds and not
mess around with something that won't
get the job done now last year released
a video showing you how to make your own
vinegar based weed killer that would
kill just about anything you sprayed it
on it used a vinegar that had a 30
percent acidity level now this is
powerful stuff but it did the job and as
you can see here what I started with was
a playground filled with weeds I blasted
it with my formula and these weeds were
gone they look like skeletons and it
didn't just do the job over time it did
this in less than 24 hours and to be
honest I was shocked because the weeds
did not grow back for almost a month but
there were some downsides because 30
percent vinegar is expensive and you do
have to mix up this formula yourself
it's not hard but it does take time and
I got a lot of comments asking for
something that you could use right out
of the bottle so I was pretty excited
because a company reached out to me
telling me that they had a ready to use
vinegar based product that was one of
the cheapest if not the cheapest on the
market so I wanted to give it a try and
see what it would do and would it
actually work as well as the stuff that
I made this is a one quart size they
sell it in gallons but I like this one
because it's quick and easy and it's got
the sprayer built right in you've got to
remember with vinegar it's gonna kill
anything you spray it on so you're not
gonna usually use this in the lawn
you're gonna use it in places like beds
patios any way that you want to blast
anything that's growing that shouldn't
be there another big tip whether you
using my DIY formula or this
is you want to spray when it's hot out
or the sun shining that heat makes the
leaves warm up and they absorb the
vinegar a lot better and now on to the
test now this is simple because it's
pre-mixed and ready to go with the
sprayer but pay close attention because
I'm only putting a small amount on each
weed you've got to use a ton of the
bottle the pastas gonna go through the
roof so for this test I just wanted to
apply a little and see what kind of a
job it would do and here I'm pulling
back on the trigger a little bit lighter
because I only want to hit that weed I
don't want to get the vinegar on the
bush behind it and walkways are perfect
for a vinegar based product because you
can spray the weeds and you don't have
to worry about getting it onto the grass
the stuff is not super strong so if you
get a little bit of overspray on the
grass I wouldn't expect any damage but
as you can see I'm still only spraying a
light mist on each one of these plants
so now with the spraying complete I just
had to wait and now 24 hours later the
weeds are dead this looks just like the
results of my own DIY solution except it
was a lot more convenient and a bottle
the vinegar really gets into the plant
now it's not going to be as effective as
say a chemical control but take a look
at the plant it really is damaged and
it's not the same as just pulling the
top of the plant off and I think it's
pretty obvious these weeds I'm messed up
and they're not just gonna regrow in two
seconds in fact I don't think in most
cases you're gonna see new weeds in the
same spot for quite a while now I love
that mix that I made myself in my other
video but I've gotta admit this is super
easy and convenient to use they also
have a 1 gallon size and you can put it
in say a sprayer like a sprayers Plus
unit if you wanted to do a larger area
so I think that convenes to this stuff
and the price make it very attractive
you can still mix your own if you want
to follow my other video but this gives
you an option if you want to buy
something that actually works and it's
ready to go so whether you do your own
or you decide to buy one of these at
least now you have a few choices and you
know that vinegar can in fact kill weeds
