Tom's here today I'm going to be showing
you how to edit a system locked file on
your Mac computer so for example be host
follower here if I try to edit it it
won't let me and even if I do unlock it
still still lock it's not closed it will
run me right and right there so what
you're going to have to do is open
terminal and type in sudo nano so
basically what this command means is
it's going to allow you using system
permissions to write in that file or
edit that file and then slash etc slash
slash post and so once we've typed in
this command right here or put book you
know the destination of any file that
you want to edit to enter gas for your
password I said in and now we can edit
it right here in terminal I just cried a
random H right here to show you guys and
then save it ctrl X then click Y for es
to save and to not save and ctrl C to
cancel saving so I'm just going to hit Y
and then hit enter and now if we try to
open that file as a random H and we
still can't edit it so to remove
whatever you did type in this same
command sudo nano from the file and
simply type in our password it doesn't
at least the way my settings have it set
up not making me Clevedon again delete
that control
save yes enter and there we go that is
how you edit any system file so thank
you guys for watching if you enjoyed
