programmable thermostat can help
simplify your life and save you money by
lowering your energy consumption with a
programmable thermostat you have the
flexibility to keep your home
comfortable and efficient based on your
own personal schedule hi I'm Erin with
service champions Heating & Air
Conditioning today we're going to be
going over the white Rogers 1f 78
thermostat I'll show you how to operate
the thermostat and choose your desired
temperature program your thermostat and
change the batteries if at any point
during the video you'd like to skip
ahead or replay a section just click on
one of the corresponding tabs above me
first I'll show you how the operation of
your thermostat works
we'll cover fan heating cooling and the
hold feature to operate the fan you'll
notice that normally you leave it in the
auto mode that way the fan comes on and
off with the call for heating or cooling
if you want to run continuous fan just
take the switch and move it to the left
to operate your system you can choose
either heat or cool by sliding the
switch from right to left in the heat
mode you will notice on the screen that
there's a little simulated flame to let
you know that that's the mode you're in
on the left it blinks between the time
and the temperature
that temperature is the actual room
temperature the temperature to the right
is your set point that you desire in the
room you can change it up and down by
pressing the gray up and down arrows to
the right if you flip it all the way
back to the left into the cool mode
you'll notice on the screen a little
snowflake letting you know that you're
in the cooling mode you can adjust this
temperature up and down to your desired
temperature by using the same arrow
buttons on the right when you're done
with your system you can simply put it
to off lastly
if you'd like the number the room
temperature to stay at a desired
position you can press this hold button
by pressing the hold button it'll say
hold on the lower left corner of the
screen and the thermostat will keep it
at your desired temperature until you
change it next I'll cover how to program
your thermostat for each day of the week
and each time period and temperature you
need to set your program first you have
to pick your desired system whether it
be cooling or heating in this case I'm
going to switch it to cool then if you
come over to the left and press the
program button you'll see across the top
of the screen Monday Tuesday Wednesday
Thursday Friday the time is 6 a.m. and
the temperature is 78 degrees you can
press the up down arrows while the 78 is
blinking and pick your desired
temperature to the left you can press
the time button the time will start to
blink and you can adjust it in 15-minute
increments this is your wake mode this
is the time it will come on first thing
in the morning press the program button
again and you'll move to the daytime
mode you have four time periods per day
you can pick your desired temperature
the desired time in 15-minute increments
and then press the program button again
and you go into the evening program the
third program of the day adjusting your
temperature
and your time in 15-minute increments
press the button again and you go into
your night mode setting your temperature
and your time in 15-minute increments
press the program button one more time
and now we move to Saturday Sunday a
weekend schedule you set Saturday Sunday
exactly the same way with your
temperature up and down your time and 15
minute increments and four time periods
per day when you're done simply press
run to set your time make sure the
system is in the off position press the
time button all the way to the left and
you can adjust your hours and as you can
see it automatically rotates from a.m.
to p.m. press time again you can adjust
the minutes to be the right minutes
press it one more time at the top you
can adjust the day of the week when
you're all complete just press run and
finally I'll show you how to change your
batteries just remove the cover of the
thermostat and right here are two triple
A batteries which you can remove pulling
the tag replace the batteries with new
line up the cover snap it right back on
