hi my name is Scott so far we've done
multiple two reviews today we actually
purchase a 12 inch Chicago electric
miter saw slide arm from Harbor Freight
and I actually mounted this one like you
can tell but when he came out of the box
it came fully Campari assembled except I
had doing some minor repairs and rec
first - putting all the symbol pieces
together now he came over here did not
come with a blade so I had to buy my own
12 inch blade it came with two J plastic
J hooks that actually goes for the power
cable you have a machine screws like
this you have a wood looking one screw
like that I'll show you where those go
did come down with a hoe down clamp now
this one here is not a true one-inch
arbiter but it did come with a spacer
and I'll show you how to put it together
and the rest of the components alright
let's go ahead and put the blade in
right now it is a little easy if you had
to pay attention to what to have to go
to begin with so right now we're getting
ready to put the blade then you split
the spacer in first slide the blade up
and make sure the power is off slide
that on
nice little machine piece here minds me
of my evolution saw that I have by the
way it's a ready tighty lefty loosy and
it does state on the blade to which way
to go give it about to do this back but
that's the only thing I really did hate
the faceplate for all the muck all the
Harbor Freight sore actually backwards
so you have to put that incorrectly
slide it up just like press let it go
slide it up and granny is about the rain
out here where we're at
clockwise to take the bolt off
counterclockwise to screw it on on the
right-hand side of this it has a little
spindle switch over here which you have
to come around the corner it's really a
little easier to access but you hit the
switch in and then tighten up your blade
is well loosening it give it a nice snug
cool now if you know anything about
mitre saws to begin with which most
people that watch my videos and have
actually I work with sometimes a little
tricky to get the blades on and
sometimes or not here's the thing we
have a problem with when you first got
it
the guard always connivance was too easy
to come down there's a little screw on
the side that you've seen with the blade
add a little tightening to it you
actually see a fall you will click it
just enough so when the blade comes down
it'll come down a little bit more freer
but I have a little stiffness in it to
get the blade to blade on and off so
just remember that ok up see what I mean
and it has a little bit bolt in the back
right now I should be a professional
abyss but I'm not anymore than anybody
else does I do appreciate you watching
but we needed this for a little bit
bigger for what the stuff we need
there you go that's simple now these two
J's go right here the one that has two
more of the wood screw looking one is
more of the plastic it just snaps on
here take the screw some people have
used them I watched some of the videos
they say some people use them some
people don't
I really don't have a preference at the
moment be honest tree truth with you
looks like we are little girls out here
today and the other one just snaps in
right here get the little curvature and
this is the one that the actual machine
screw goes into because you're touching
metal the plastic the other ones plastic
the plastic
if you don't hit it just right you know
as well as I do you have to take it
apart put it back together probably good
and that's all this does just wraps his
little cord up for you it's it out of
the way and that's all now it has
everything standard miter saws have and
everything else and since this is a
double bevel in which I like about the
double bevels is when you open this big
knob that it's got for our hands turned
around swings left and right here to
make a swing right she just pull that
out now swings right and when you want
it to go one side boom there you go
lock it back into place now over here
that I had to turn around and do it has
to a la hex nuts allen wrench nuts
either side will reset on the 45-degree
angle and you're really going to have to
work at it the 45-degree angle will be
marked and it's not correct so you'll
have to turn around and just it the top
screw goes to the left
obscure goes to the right and so far
that's on this model so what you do is
you turn around get your 45 degree
angles and then after you figure out
your 45 degree angles you're not going
to be a true that's what these little
red plastic indicators are I do have a
mark correctly for with a 45 degree
angle already marked but they're not
correctly on mine because they're off
about two degrees all right nothing else
to it has two safety locks switches left
hand right hand for you to other than
that also to give you a small
demonstration as well before the rain
does come and let you hear the noise
maker hello young lady you were with me
my last one 280 that's my lucky charm
ladies
it did come down a hold down and the
woman behind the camera is the luckiest
lady that's all it does
same thing I did on the evolution 10
inch this is just a 12 inch and this is
also belt operated not direct drive
don't you hear the sound and the
downshift gear by the way it does come
with Russia's I keep saying bushings
through all my videos that have brushes
it's actually brushes for the engine
which is a nice gesture now give you a
small demonstration as a work stop line
and by the way before I forget this
right here the rails do come out
all the way you need a half pulley out
and you do the 45-degree package that is
highly recommend unless you can cut the
metal and I don't know any to 12-inch
metals to do that you have these lovely
ton of thumb screws that actually hold
and they're big enough to make sure you
can move in clean pair gloves it does
have a laser light that only operated by
the motor itself and does not have a
battery operated does not have a toggle
switch it has to be machine operated so
that motor has to keep that laser in now
I've already measured out this knob or
except this might the miter saw up to
all the 45 degrees 90 degree angles make
sure all the wood I cut this correct so
far and the last little bit so far lasts
a little bit like I said it has these
two little structures on both sides as
you can tell they're not very long and
over here you can lift it up just a
little bit more now the only problem
that's going to come across because this
wants to bounce up and down and somebody
did recommend that maybe put a little
spacer in between these two so it slides
up fully which way I'm going to end up
doing on mine make sure they're done
correct
I got it from like I said I got the
piece equipment from Harbor Freight for
a very very low price it's a medium to
ok quality equipment I haven't really
put it to use but for the patio and for
the remaining part of the house between
my evolution 10 inch and this 12-inch
miter saw that we're going to be rolling
with it's great this is a 3800 rpm it's
not very fast my evolution happens to be
25 which is really good for what I need
the best thing come across but we were
testing this out because we were looking
at it it's the same techniques as the
any miter saw has with the lock screws
set it up in this case there's not a
push button it's actually pull out slide
it in there's done okay it does have a
little bit of adjustments but anybody's
ever worked with a miter saw especially
a slide iron compound you also know what
to expect okay you've got to set it up
accordingly to your degrees accordingly
what you have to do and hopefully within
the weather permits in the next few
months and really good force as much
we're going to be showing all these
pallets that whole deck I've got some
new blades for the evolution then I'm
going to really put two tests including
this piece of equipment and we're going
to have a good time doing it folks
I appreciate it yet when you subscribe
give me a like give me a comment I will
promise you I have answer to anybody
that's ever asked me a question as
promptly as quickly as they've asked me
the question folks thank you and hope
you liked the video
