all right so this is the
harbor freight chicago electric
10-inch
compound sliding miter saw
there's also laser guided ones i think a
little bit cheaper
but this video is pretty much just
quickly to show you how to put the blade
on i haven't really found a blade
video there
um
first thing is when you take it out of
the box uh
tighten this over here
tighten all these knobs so it doesn't
move so you don't want anything moving
that's first thing so tighten this
tighten the slider
if it doesn't slide back and forth so
this is going to be just make it slide
back and forth and this is for the
tilting so you want to tilt
um
next thing is is this knob right here so
this knob is the first thing you want to
do is you're going to pull it towards
you
pull it towards you see it comes out and
you turn it
and that locks out of place and now i
can move the head up and down
that is moved up and down
next thing is you're going to take out
this screw
so there's some instructions right there
and some instructions right there and
then there's the instructions in the
guide and it just doesn't make any sense
to a lot of people
so i'm going to
unscrew this
mine's kind of loose already it's brand
new
uh with some coupons and sales i got it
for dirt cheap like 60 bucks so
there's a screw take that up
and now we can move this up so basically
you just take this black part
and just kind of
move it up like this
like it's out of the way
okay so see how this is sliding back and
forth we don't want it to do that
so we want to make sure this slider is
tight let's do lucy right or tight right
but now it won't slide
okay
so we're doing that and so
some people talked about
putting this up on
a
um
all right
so you kind of push up with your thumb
like this you just push everything like
this and that exposes the nut
now the one thing about this is clamp
counter clockwise so instead of
lefty loosey right and tidy you're gonna
go to the right to loosen it up
so i've already loosened it up you can
use the same
allen wrench that came with it
and then it comes out
and be careful so
you're gonna have the little
the screw and then the
cover there
and there we go
so now i'm just going to
put my blade back on
at first but not back on but go on so
i'm gonna have to hold this all the way
down so i'm gonna put this down
and show what it looks like after
so i'm just gonna push this
this way
sorry this kind of sucks
so see i put the blade in there and i
just let it sit there
i'm going to put the nut and washer back
in
so remember you just
grab this part and careful not to cut
yourself
blade is sharp
first of all it's not going to stay
sharp for long
some people talked about using a um
using you can use a bungee cord to hold
that but for some reason mine is staying
so that's good
so now i'm going to put this
nut
in there one second and put this down
all right
put that in there so
now remember it goes the opposite way so
righty to the right it's gonna be to
tighten it
we're gonna reverse it
