hey everyone my name is Nathan and I'm
the owner here at Minnesota mobile guy
if you're not already familiar with us
we're a business based here in the US
state of Minnesota bully says customers
from all over the world with all sorts
of different issues and services on
their smartphones tablets and other
mobile devices one of the services that
our customers most frequently ask us to
perform is the sim unlocking of a device
in order to be used with a different
wireless carrier than the one that it
originally came from by default most
mobile devices are going to come with
some sort of lock that restricts them to
only being used with the original
carrier or network and they have to
undergo some sort of unlock process in
order to be used with a different
carrier now here with us today we happen
to have a Samsung Galaxy a 10 II this
one here is originally from Sprint here
in the US and as we can see when we
slide down our notification panel here
this is one that has not yet been SIM
unlocked because we have the invalid SIM
card message there indicating that we
have a SIM card that is not from Sprint
inserted into the phone now we'll go
ahead and jump into the settings here
and show you exactly what we're working
with so if we go under the about phones
section here we can see that we are
indeed working with an 8 10 e indicated
by the model number there the a-10 to
you and that's the same model number for
all of the US versions of the a-10 II no
matter what carrier they come from now
Samsung is trying to make their phones a
little more Universal these days so a
lot of them will have the same model
numbers they look identical and things
of that nature but one of the ways that
we can tell exactly which carrier it's
originally from is to take a look in the
settings here so under software
information we have our service provider
information and then the codes there
down at the bottom the SP RS indicates
that it is originally from Sprint but
basically we're making this video to let
any interested customers know that we do
offer a service to be able to get this
device SIM unlocked for use with other
compatible carriers without having to go
through Sprint or satisfy all of their
requirements this is a process that we
do directly to the device while it's
plugged into a computer hence why I have
it plugged into our computer right here
right now and we're actually running the
unlock program on it as we speak so once
that wraps up
we should be able to see that we can
then restart the phone and then we
should be able to see that it does
indeed work on that test SIM card that
we have inserted there I should mention
that this is a procedure that we can do
for just about anyone anywhere in the
world as long as you have a decently
powerful Windows computer along with a
fast internet connection we can remotely
connect to your computer right through
the internet and perform the exact same
procedure while you have the phone
plugged into your own computer so it's
not necessary for you to be here in our
area or for you to send us the phone in
order for us to accomplish this for you
now I just need another couple minutes
here to get the unlock program wrapped
up it's in its final stages here so give
me one second to finish up the last few
things that have to be done here and
then we should be able to see that we
can restart the phone and have that work
okay so that should be everything that
we need there looks like the program is
finished up doing what it needs to so we
can go ahead and just restart the phone
here start we can unplug it since we're
done with that and then again like I
said you should be able to see it
working on our test SIM card here after
it boots up so we'll let it run through
that process here
okay so everything's booted up here we
can slide down our notification panel
here and we should immediately we should
be able to notice that we do not have
that invalid SIM card message anymore
let me slide that down there we go
so we still have the sprint
notifications there but that invalid SIM
card message if you notice is now gone
and then also up in the corner if I
click the screen off again we can see
that we are indeed now registered on
Cricut which is the network of the test
SIM card that we have inserted there a
prepaid provider that runs on AT&T here
in the US and then you'll also notice
the signal bars and the LTE indicator
there too I'll go ahead and jump into
the network settings just to show you
exactly what's there just to prove it so
indeed we are showing that we registered
on crickets Network and we're fully
connected and have all of our
connections are visible so this device
has been Similac for use with other
compatible carriers and is no longer
tied just to being used on Sprint and I
should mention that this procedure also
applies to the boost mobile version of
this phone since it's basically the
exact same device as well so if you have
a Sprint or boost galaxy 810 II and
would like help getting in SIM unlock to
go ahead and get in touch with us
because we would love to help you out
with that all of our contact information
will be right down in the video
description and we'll also put a slide
at the end of the video here that has
all the info there as well while you're
here make sure to check out all the
other videos that we have on our channel
as we offer a lot of different services
for a lot of different devices and I'm
sure you'll find something there that
could come in handy down the road make

the new videos and services that we're
