okay so what we're trying to do is if
you lock your keys in your trunk what we
actually did was locked the key in the
trunk we thought we did we actually
didn't with the battery dead the battery
is completely dead on this car when the
battery is dead
giving to the cabin pulling the handle
will not raise the lock cylinder up
normally when there's power to the
battery I got to school this much okay
so what we had to jack the car up come
over here
reject the left side of the car upper
Geyser side of the car up we have some
jump wires ultra my job box up up put
this do the starter the other one just
grab into the truck which gave us enough
battery power for me to go in with my
jez which you can use whatever easy then
I went in here pull the door handle
which open the door okay and still I'll
get you in the trunk for some reason the
trunk button doesn't work to open the
trunk the next thing we have to do women
sent the car back down of course if
you're gonna crawl it with this car use
a jack stand don't kill yourself doing
this
you do have to jack it up get on into
the starter
we try come here I'll show you what
don't work
we try popping a grill out but when we
got in here this is completely
encapsulated there's actually two
latches here so really it just didn't
help anything this is all filled up so
popping the grill out don't waste your
time with that in the cab of the vehicle
and I'll tell you this pushing me the
unlock button does another the power
around will be connected because when
you reconnect the battery for some
reason this thing's in some sort of safe
mode and will not open I was kind of
surprised pulling the handle worked
because it didn't work with the battery
head it did nothing I pulled them
several times but for some reason with
power it worked the next step we took
was trying to get into the trunk well
this doesn't have the seats that lay
down and even if it did I don't think
you can lay them down from the inside of
the vehicle so what we ended up doing is
pulling this armrest down strap down
pulling this up there's some piece of
plastic right here we squeezed and
popped it in so that we could fit the
Big Easy through this hole and I
actually popped the speaker cover off
the speaker cover just pops off right
here this has three eight millimeter
head screws in it pop them out and
plugged it this little pieces underneath
it I it up now if you had the
laydown seats you could breach through
that hole and probably release your lay
down for your seats right back there so
you can probably reach that one this one
you have it so we use that for a
flashlight hole while the other guy went
through here come back come back
isn't the Big Easy the other guy pulled
the child release it actually sticks
onto a little deal here so it's kind of
stuck like that but you get your little
tool in there and you pull it off and
that opens your trunk releases your
trunk if you got really long arms you
might actually be able to reach it
probably not but that's how we got into
the trunk and realized that's not where
our key was either now let's walk over
to the x5 for a second
we got an x5 one time yeah somebody had
a double-locked I think if you hit the
lock button twice and goes into a safe
mode pulling the handle didn't work
pushing the button didn't work the
battery wasn't dead but nothing was
working so what we ended up doing is
juicing the Big Easy we taped it to the
end of the Big Easy here's the hangar we
have a air wedges to come with the Big
Easy going here in your hair month got
as much room as we couldn't women we
actually stuck the key in the ignition
and turned it then we came in with
another hangar I don't mean what we use
you something else and then you can push
the button in it and unlock I've seen a
lot of videos where guys break the
windows out and they drill big holes in
the truckloads and I do a bunch of dumb
it's not necessary I'll need you
out here if you don't have power get to
your starter put power to it stick your
key and turn your key push the button or
pull the handle at that point again
don't you don't have to drill holes
I didn't drill a single hole I didn't
destroy a single part of that car now
granted if you were out somewhere where
you didn't have a jack and a jack stand
you probably have to have a buddy bring
one or have to go get one but Jack the
car up put power to it pull the handle
that's what works on that one if that
doesn't work you're gonna have to do
like this one if it's in a double lock
mode where it's a night push that you
don't want to push your button twice
when you lock these BMWs it goes into a
safe mode and then you cannot get in
them but if somebody did that then
you're going to have to get to the
ignition turn the key on and then you
can push the button or pull the handle
and you can get in
other than that good luck breaking
handles up or breaking windows or
whatever but uh that's it okay something
I'd like to add that I forgot to say
with the Big Easy in the past we have
reached in here and if you if you work
your your wedge in your air wedge up far
enough you can actually reach right here
and grab the hood pop good release
if you hit release the hood then you can
put your jump box or jumper cables or
something to the there's two points
underneath the hood the battery is
actually in the trunk but there's a spot
under every just about every car has a
place for a jump-off this one's
underneath the little cover right here
that's your positive you negative as you
can see looks like a jump deal on a
battery here looks just like this one
here and here that's where you should be
jumping your vehicle off anyway I always
hooked up the ground up last took your
positive up first then your ground that
would give you the power same thing as
getting to the starter I just didn't
want to damage usually when we do that
it scratches this up real bad right here
and I don't want to damage this vehicle
here here so we just jacked it up since
we're here at the car lot we jacked it
up and did it the other way but if
you're in a jam and you can get this
wedged out you do have to be careful if
you pull out far enough in this window
it's going to break I mean you know they
can only flex so far but if you can work
your wedges up here work your air wedge
in there and then you probably have to
get your your big easy or whatever using
up far enough where you could actually
reach the hood release
again this is a no.3 now this is a tote
for 325i I think it's going to work on
all the e46 body styles and I'm sure
there's some that have a ski pass
through that would make it a little
easier for you to reach through there
and release the trunk but this one
didn't have it and it's kind of a
beating to get into the x5 was the same
way it was real hard to get into we
actually did get into it by putting the
key in the ignition
we actually use a piece of hanger or
something to hold it and turn turn the
key so that we could get into
