hi guys redneck want to be here i hope
all is well with you and your family
today so
if you're anything like me and you're
living in suburbs
neighbors don't take to crowing
roosters especially 5 5 30 in the
morning so
you know technically this
fence line is over here city
over there is county so
if you know if push ever came to shove
i could tell you tell the city to go
take a long walk off a short plank
because the chickens
are out in the country but i want to
keep on
in good relations with my neighbors so
we have a rooster uh the plan is
sorry my dog uh and i'm out of shape
from chasing this
rooster but the plan is i'm gonna i have
a rooster
because i uh i do want to raise chicks
not only to sell but also for food so
but having a rooster in the suburbs is
not a very
good thing so i i ended up i got a
um i don't know what magazine i read
but there was a uh a little tear out
thing
for um like backyard poultry or
something like that
and it said you know try
try an addition on us and so you send it
in so i sent it in
they came back to me and then they keep
me on the uh
on their subscription list and now
they're invoicing me so i've learned my
lesson on that but
anyway in that magazine they had a
an advertisement for a crow collar which
would keep your chickens
uh or your roosters from crowing so i
ended up getting it
so here let me take it off
after i got it and put it on
i realized all it is
is velcro so if i were to do it again
i would just go buy a big wide
piece of velcro and just put it on his
neck and so
it kind of reminds me of you know
whenever you're talking
and something gets stuck in your throat
and you're like
you know you just you know get stuck and
start to cough that's what it reminds me
of whenever he starts to crow
so he'll uh he'll start to crow and
his just kind of stops or
when he crows it's just real soft
and so imagine a rooster here and
you hear a rooster a block away how you
can still hear it but it's just not loud
and so that's what this does and so
if i were to do it again i think these
were only like two maybe three dollars
if i remember right which is not bad
but if i had a bunch of these i would
experiment
first with just a piece of
velcro so anyway it works great or it
seems to work great i don't have any
neighbors complaining
i don't have a c uh you know knocking on
my door
but you tighten it fairly
tight i would say probably
around that tight so tight enough to
where
it's not going to be moving around but
not so tight that's going to strangle
the chicken
so anyway if you're in the burbs
or even if you're in the country and you
want to quieten your uh your roosters
here you go so i hope that helps y'all
take care i appreciate y'all see you bye
