hi friends it's Chiara um so it's
Tuesday and I promised myself that I
would create a video every single
Tuesday and this is my fourth video of
the month finally getting into routine
of doing this and feeling a little bit
more confident about my video making
skills alright so something I want to
focus on today is how to stop
procrastinating I chose this topic
because it's something that I struggle
with extremely bad we and I feel like
many people can use this to benefit them
and those around them as well so i
actually just googled procrastination
and an article popped up from wiki how
calm so i'll post that link at the
bottom as well um i'm just gonna go
through the first five on the list
because they really helped me and i know
that it can help you as well so i have
to share it number one is create a to-do
list prioritize the important stuff and
be specific with time number two is
finish the hard stuff when you
accomplish the hard stuff first it's
much easier to finish your list
successfully if you have a big project
you want to accomplish some of the small
parts first because you can gradually
add up each day by doing small parts and
then accomplish your end big task number
three is due to minute tasks ask
yourself if you can accomplish a task
within two minutes whether it's taking
out the garbage making your bed starting
the dishwasher
um checking your mail whatever it is ask
yourself can I get this done in 120
seconds if you can then just do it like
you might be in the mindset of you're
tired or you just work 10 hours so went
to school for so long etc etc stop
making excuses and just do it seriously
it takes 120 seconds and then you won't
be bobbled and backed up when you have
to accomplish something way more
important number four create a time to
work frenzy um if you find yourself
daydreaming daydreaming remove all
distractions phones magazines
electronics any of your thoughts um
force yourself to work productively for
10 minutes this will kick you into a
working mode number 5 give yourself a
break if you can't focus or you find
yourself doing your tasks half-heartedly
then give yourself at least 10 minutes
call your friend call your mom read a
good book take a 10 minute nap do a
hundred jumping jacks do a handstand on
the wall anything that will get your
blood flowing again and help you get
back into focus of that passion whatever
you love doing you just don't want to
lose that and then oh but be sure during
that 10 minute timeframe be sure that
you follow through with the time frame
that you do have because it's easy to
get distracted doing that 10 minute
procedure and then it's like 30 minutes
later and you're like what where did the
time go so try to create that
oh my gosh what is that word resistance
I guess or this is really going to
bother me that word but um yeah just
resist against the temptation to
continue to do something else and don't
get distracted number six is remove your
distractions seven do not be a
perfectionist aight motivate yourself
nine get an accomplice and ten focus on
your end result so this well if you do
all of these things even if you just
focus on the first five I know that it
will help you to become more productive
and to not procrastinate you whatever
you're procrastinating so I challenge
you to take on at least 21 days do the
21-day challenge to not procrastinate
and to do the first five things on this
on the list that I read because when you
do more then you can help more people
and fulfill your lifelong dream because
then you realize that you're full of
potential and you're full of doing more
than you ever even dreamed of because
too often we just pull back and we make
excuses and we become lazy to be quite
honest many of us come home from our
nine to five job and then sit and watch
TV like very rare people are reading
books nowadays or even listening to good
audio tapes instead we're filling our
minds with nonsense
and listening to the news when sometimes
we just need to shut it off because that
negativity shouldn't be in our life
there's only so much we can do as people
so what we should do is something
positive something that will enlighten
our minds to be better and to remember
everything that is good in life because
life is too short to just waste our time
watching TV like when we die what are we
going to take with us what we're going
to take with us is knowledge and that is
just priceless so engaging all of the
tools and resources you have around you
because the world has so much to offer
and the people around you have so much
to offer as well so take advantage of
everything good and be the best that you
