[Music]
well hello everybody or anybody welcome
back to my channel after I think it's
been like three years it's been a really
really long time um but I decided I was
like I'm gonna go back and do this I was
doing this YouTube thing for like a year
and it was so much fun I had so much fun
doing it and it was such a short period
of time but I really fell in love with
doing making content and like making
friends on here and connecting with
people so I took I think a long enough
break and I decided you know what I'm
gonna try and do it again because a lot
has happened in my life in the past
three years um and one of them being
that I have a little boy who's two and a
half years old his name is Dallin and
one of the things I regretted the most
was the fact that I did not record and
document videos of my pregnancy with him
or him as a baby or just growing up and
being like a little toddler and I really
regretted that so now that I am pregnant
again I probably could tell by the video
so I had all that I'm pregnant
and I decided I you know what I'm not
gonna regret not doing this again so I
knew that I would be moving so now that
we just moved just like super recently
and I feel a little more or less settled
in I decided you know what I'm just
gonna go ahead and start this so like I
said this video it's gonna be about my
pregnancy so far um but I want to go
ahead and do Beauty videos again
cleaning decorate with me which is
probably my one
various things to do which is decorate
decorate DIY is just everything that I
love to do that I just you know I want
to share with y'all and I've had three
years to think about idea so I have a
lot of ideas and so I have a lot of
anything else to share with y'all and um
if pregnancy videos aren't your thing if
any of the other things don't appealing
to you then I hope that you decide to
stick around so if you are interested in
any other things that I mentioned and I
want to follow along with me on my
journey coming back into this fun
YouTube world then please subscribe and
follow along but like I said if you're
just here for this video let's just cut
the chitchat and we'll get into the
video
so this idea is gonna be just pretty
much all of the tips and tricks that
I've learned along the way for it the
first trimester so little science story
my first pregnancy was my little boy a
million and one times different Pence's
pregnancy in like a bad way
so the first pregnancy was so easy
literally my only symptom was that I was
tired and I didn't even have another
little baby to look after so if I wanted
to take a nap
well I took the neck and that was it
that was real mature now with this
pregnancy the nausea the migraines the
did I say nausea there's the headaches
like all day every day just feeling sick
and just gross loss about the tight
everything that you read about for her
first trimester kind of symptom yeah
I'm dealing with it and so even though
it is my second pregnancy you're just so
different than the first one so I've had
to learn a lot because with the first
one like I said I didn't really have to
deal with much so with this one I've
learned a lot of little things some
tricks that are kind of weird if I'm not
honest like I don't know if it's just me
but if it helps somebody else like
please go and try this
I'm but yeah so it's just a couple
little tricks tips things that worked
for some reason so if you are struggling
with your first trimester and you've
heard all the same things me take me
keep watching and maybe you'll pick up
on like a weird trick or two that might
help you out
but let's just get started with the very
first tip okay so I'm gonna knock out
one of the tips that is very obvious and
I acknowledge that this is probably
mentioned in every single video but it
just it's so important so so so
important which is to drink water
drinking water is so important so if
perhaps the water isn't helping you in
any way shape or form if it's actually
disgusting and makes you want to throw
up try different temperature water try
adding like some lemon try adding some
like try adding a strawberry in there
and kind of just letting it kind of
infuse with a different flavor overnight
pretty sure you could probably add
almost anything to water to just give it
a little bit of a different flavor in
case the flavor of the water because
water does have flavors in my opinion in
Steve you can change that up change the
brand change whatever but definitely
just do your best to drink water it's so
important which is why I'm still going
to mention it because it really is that
important alright so the second thing
I'm gonna mention first thing in the
morning first thing in the morning is to
eat something anything anything that you
possibly could slightly sound appealing
because I understand kind of nothing
sounds appealing at the very beginning
um but a lot of people mentioned a
saltine crackers that to me was not
working I think it just didn't like the
texture so one thing that helped me they
are these Golia crackers and they're in
the shape of like a flower which is
weird but it's like yeah it's like kind
of like a little flower shape it's a
thicker cracker zero flavor like zero
it's not sweet it's not salty is
straight-up just flour I guess but it's
so tasteless so it helps because in the
morning like I don't really know what
I want and that cracker has helped
because it's also a thicker consistency
so it's not like it's crunchy err I
don't know it's very weird very weird
but these crackers are literally amazing
that so definitely eat something
first thing in the morning whatever it
is and if the saltine cracker thing
isn't really working out try these
crackers cuz maybe it might help you out
to it with me so another tip that kind
of goes in hand with what I just
mentioned is to not brush your teeth
first thing in the morning
so almost all my life I would pretty
much brush my teeth as soon as I woke up
in the morning well I started realizing
that literally brushing my teeth would
make me throw up
of course pregnancy you know but what I
discovered was that even even it all I
could do was drink a lot of water first
thing in the morning preferably those
crackers attention essentially not
letting brushing my teeth being the
first thing that I was doing in the
morning so if you're realizing that
brushing your teeth is bright after
brushing your teeth you're super
nauseous and perhaps you've been just
brushing your teeth is actually making
you throw up please try to drink
something drink a lot of something or
eat one like especially those crackers I
just mentioned so eat a cracker eat
something before you go and brush your
teeth okay so the fourth thing that I
found that really really helped me a lot
was to declutter my surrounding so that
to me it wasn't necessarily like do a
deep clean of wherever I was spending
the most time in but just straight up
just decluttering kind of getting the
junk out of your space wherever you're
spending most of your time and so
because the quarantine Oh a lot of us
were working from home and so I was
making sure that the room that I was
using where I had enough studying on my
computer and everything that it was
completely just decluttered if I ended
up going into my room and I knew I had
to work there and it was just so
cluttered it just it kind of stressed me
out and one of the biggest things that I
learned during the first trimester
trimester is the first trimester is that
difficult is stress just makes it a
million times worse I mean isn't that
was like was everything in life but
especially when you're pregnant there
are people that we're like maybe messes
or being a little messy like doesn't
stress you out as much perhaps it might
be that you're waiting to some of your
stress and then you know there's stress
headaches and and you don't even realize
it it's not let that be any other thing
to stress you out when you could you're
probably already pretty stressed out
just because of the icky feelings you're
dealing with in your body so it
definitely declutter the space clear
your space clear your mind
so if you do that I bet it's gonna
relieve a little bit of stress that you
might have might have not been noticed
that what's there um and in turn maybe
even reduce some of the headaches you
might be getting because that definitely
happened with me so this is similar to
what I just mentioned really really
doing anything you can to avoid
headaches and migraines so I've had
migraines like my entire life since I
was like five years old one of the
things that I thought was incredibly
important for my first trimester was to
avoid anything anything that I knew
could potentially be a trigger because I
was way more susceptible to getting
headaches and migraines the first
trimester um so I would avoid anything
that I knew that at some point in my
life
possibly gave me a headache I avoided it
so for me one of the things that I knew
could help not get the headache I was
drinking the sense of a caffeine in the
morning so um if you want to try that
you could do coffee Fitzhugh tea you
could do I guess an energy drink but I
don't know if I would recommend that
being pregnant but you know you do you
and so just anything with caffeine and
that's something that would help me not
to get in migraine not get a headache
the other thing that really really
helped avoid a headache was to take a
cold shower in the morning again kind of
weird I don't know why if I took a
shower at night there was still a big
possibility that I would wake up in the
morning with a headache so if I was
lucky and I did not wake up with a head
and I could try and avoid it by taking a
cold shower the other thing that might
be a little obvious is to eat so eating
when you have zero appetite like
literally at the very door in the first
trimester I lost weight just because I
just I just wasn't hungry and even if I
was hungry night ate something I could
just eat a couple fights and I was over
it but honestly just eating something
and I definitely recommend if you get
your plate for dinner
start with the veggies start with the
veggies because if you get full at least
you got some good nutrients in you as
opposed if you start with the pasta and
now you're full of pasta and you didn't
even touch veggies and now it's just
like nope not happening so definitely
eat so eat before you feel any hunger
because the second you hit the hunger
mark it's too late your body is now
nauseous and it's telling you I don't
want any food but like you know you want
food because you haven't eaten in a
while so it's a whole it's a whole mess
so they can eat little snacks or little
meals throughout the day that would be
ideal
because once you get hungry I've noticed
hunger can definitely be a trigger for a
headache or a migraine for me so
definitely definitely eat before you're
hungry another thing to avoid the
headaches no tight hairstyles so that
like to me is really difficult because I
still have a very long hair so I always
put it up in a bun but I notice if my
bun or ponytail is too tight for
whatever reason now has become a trigger
for headaches as well so I noticed that
also as you know before I was pregnant
about what sometimes be your cause for
headache but definitely while pregnant I
just try and avoid it so I'll do low
ponies if I do end up doing a bug then I
just try my best is like take it out
after a few minutes kind of like let my
hair rest a little bit then I'll put it
back up just because I'm so terrified of
getting those migraines I will do
whatever including redoing my hairstyle
20 million times a day I will be doing
that so if you're noticing for some
things causing a headache you can't pick
up what it is maybe you see if you're
wearing too tight of hairstyles or your
hair up too often
meaning that could be a source of your
headache so another trigger of my
is bright lights so bright lights or
screens and bright lights from like a
window on my previous place where we
were living at I had like my workstation
set up in front of a window and at first
I thought oh that's gonna be great like
all this natural lights all day
I didn't I'm back buying because it was
so bright in there that I think it was
the conscience constant squinting it was
just kind of causing a little bit of a
strain on my eyes which is the headache
because the headache okay so maybe
there's a combination of that with
actually watching the screen and being
on the computer all day but you know
there's some things that you just can't
avoid so try and take breaks so if you
are tied to a computer screen phone
screen whatever screen um and you can't
get away just try and take some breaks
throughout the day we can't get it out
completely but I did notice that
especially when I started sensing a
headache that wasn't exactly a migraine
yet the first thing I would do is kind
of have to close all the windows and
kind of start getting my uh surrounding
a little bit darker so those are just
some kind of things that would trigger
headaches for me
so if you notice that you get a lot of
headaches and migraines try it see if
any of the triggers that I mentioned
might be also triggers for you I would
do anything to just buy some time you
know just do my best to avoid getting a
headache okay so let's say you just went
through all the possible triggers that I
could possibly give you a headache and
you still have a headache or worse a
migraine so here is like my secret
formula - oh I would say like 80% of the
time knock out of migraine and it does
not require migraine medication because
I did try that when I wasn't pregnant
many many years ago and it didn't really
work here is like something that has
worked for me like I said like eighty
percent of the time it will work the
other 20% is probably due to the fact
that I can't always do everything on my
list and sometimes it'll still work but
sometimes it just it doesn't work I have
to pretty much do this exact
but again when if you're working you're
in school you have with another child
you can't always do this 100% but the
things that I could hear it is first
thing make sure that I have had caffeine
so if I realized you know it's a
Saturday morning I wake up and I have a
headache and I'm like this so first
thing drink something with caffeine now
you can only have a certain amount of
caffeine while you're pregnant so you
don't want to go over that dosage and so
if I haven't met that limit yet that day
I will go ahead and drink anything with
caffeine second take a cold shower that
to me like I had to do I had to get in
there take a cold shower and like get my
hair wet and like regardless if I just
washed my hair literally just let cold
water just try and wash my migraine away
so that's step two step three is chug
water and drink a whole bottle of water
just in case you're dehydrated so
full-on water along with the water
tylenol so I'm a freaking - those days
I'm tired I know that you can have but
whatever that dosage is I would take
this as much as I possibly could because
tylenol when I'm not pregnant isn't
something I gravitate to because it
honestly doesn't really help me I'm if
I'm honest but pregnant
I'll do anything once I really have a
migraine to try and get rid of it so
with that water washed down some tylenol
definitely a must on the list next is
take a nap this is the one where when I
mentioned I can't always do my list yeah
this is one of them because if you're
working can't really go and just take a
nap if you're watching over another
child especially if they're young again
you can't just run away to take a nap um
I thankfully have a super duper
supportive and helpful husband so if he
could take down at any point so that I
could take a nap because I had a
migraine he would like 100% be down for
helping me out so I would take a nap
even if it's just a quick nap I
literally feel like it like resets your
mind and then this isn't
no thing and I mentioned it as an
optional thing because it wasn't
something that I added until kind of
later in the first trimester I'm to my
little secret formula but that was
smelling an essential oil that can calm
you that that brings you a little bit of
peace I'm so for some people that's like
lavender for me it's like minty kind of
smells experiment just means like any
minty kind of smell I literally would
sometimes just get mint leaves if I
didn't have mint essential oil with me
and just kind of like smell that as I'm
starting to fall asleep
I hate migraine so much and it was so
painful and so frequent that I was
willing to do all as much as I could for
my secret formula I'm just trying to get
rid of it honestly if you have the
opportunity to do this entire secret
formula of honey or even if you can just
try and hit as many of these things as
you can when you do have a migraine I
promise you I don't know why it works
but it helped me so so much so another
little tip I have for you that I had
like I guess it had heard of it before
but for this pregnancy I definitely saw
some benefits and that's ginger so um
during my first pregnancy I bought the
little I figured what they're caught but
they're just like these little lollipops
and they come in like a ginger flavor
um but honestly my parents kind of
introduced me to this it's just you
would just straight-up make almost like
a tea from the ginger so you buy the
actual ginger root cut up little pieces
put it into some water and boil the
water and doesn't even taste bad they
would mix it with like honey put a
little lemon in it and it would kind of
help soothe especially in the morning
like let's say that's like one of your
like you're gonna drink that before
breakfast that can kind of help soothe
your tummy and help soothe some of the
nausea drinking some of that tea first
thing in the morning before I had
breakfast definitely kind of helped make
it easier to eat that day so if you
noticed that maybe um you know not just
not terrible but you're still having a
little bit of a hard time eating I mean
try thinking some ginger tea right
before you have your first meal so
tip which I have not really even sure
what number temper nine but another tip
that I have for you is to ask for help
ask for help so even if you thank you
like who the heck am I gonna ask for
help for but there's definitely someone
out there that can lend a helping hand
whether that's a family member a friend
a co-worker and neighbor anyone there's
a lot more people willing to help out
someone especially when they're pregnant
and and just give you a little bit but a
little bit of a break so whether that's
taking your child if you trust a person
to just go and like play outside while
you take a nap or if it's a chore that
you really want to get done that you
just haven't had the time to or
home-cooked meal that you wanted to make
but you again it's like a little bit
difficult if there is anything that you
need help with definitely try and and
reach out I promise you there will be
somebody somebody willing to help out
and if someone does extend a helping
hand take it take it do not be too
embarrassed to accept the help even if
it's not a person something that has
helped me and is using the app instacart
so instacart will literally deliver your
groceries or really anything from any
store almost right to your door
literally right to your door and there's
like a small delivery and like service
fee but when you're exhausted or you
have no time you're working your student
you you have to balance home life and
work life and everything like literally
instacart is a lifesaver
it has helped me so so much your body is
working so much even if you don't
realize that you absolutely deserve a
little bit of help so just whether to
give you a break or to do some of the
things on your to-do list definitely
reach out for help
accept help anything you can find to
make your life a little bit easier right
now absolutely do it tip number nine is
to do something that brings you joy so
we are pretty much feeling kind of icky
most of the day dealing with just kind
of hormones that are kind of all over
the place
I feel like nauseous feeling sick
not feeling hungry feeling tight leaf
there's so many issues but if you can
find even 30 minutes 30 minutes even
like right before you go to bed to do
something that brings you joy do it so
now naps could also bring you joy so if
you're nothing is a source of joy for
you go for it and do it if you get joy
out of watching like the Kardashians
which is kind of me then go ahead and do
that
but if you also find a lot of joy in
painting crafting journaling I love
bullet journaling like anything that
brings you joy and can remind you of who
you are outside of being pregnant
because you're reminded you're pregnant
like all day with all of those symptoms
so something to bring you back and
remind you you're still you you can
still do something that is fun to you do
that you will go to bed feeling a lot
more a peace if you feel like you had
even 30 minutes to do something that you
feel proud of or something that need to
feel good or kind of do stress for a
little bit it'll help your day not just
be filled with icky feelings but maybe
end your day on a kind of happy note and
maybe make something that you're proud
of or I guess you prepped for the next
day if so my tip number 10 and I think
it's probably the most important tip um
that's a documents your pregnancy so
pregnancy flies by honestly like even
though it can be really hard I remember
from my first one the pregnancy
definitely flies by and then you you
kind of miss it a little bit so
definitely definitely document in any
way shape or form at the beginning of
the video I mentioned not one of the
things that I regretted the most about
stopping YouTube was the fact that I
didn't document and record videos about
my pregnancy and about the early stages
of my little boy's life and it's
something that I would have personally
liked to do so find a way for you to
document to your pregnancy whether that
is videos whether that's photos
journaling anything that you can use to
look back on you
later and remember all the special times
and also the hard times I'm they had
during pregnancy and like I said
pregnancy it's rough but it's also such
a special time in our lives so go ahead
and find anyway it's a document and
record these memories because I promise
you from experience I promise you you
will regret it if you don't do it so
there you have it that's about ten maybe
even a little bit more tips and tricks
that really really helped me get through
that icky first trimester so if any of
these symptoms sounds similar to some
things that you've had and you feel like
you've tried everything if I mentioned
something kind of weird random that you
haven't tried give it a shot because if
it helped me it has to help somebody
else I would assume so please give it a
shot and let me know if it helps out
also if you have any other tips any
other tips and that you can share please
leave them below and if you have any
tips for the second and third trimester
please also leave those below because I
will definitely be looking for tips to
make it through the rest of the
pregnancy so if you watch this video and
you've made it this far thank you so so
so much for watching I really do
appreciate it I am so excited to be back
and this is just one of many videos I
have coming up so if you liked it please
give it a thumbs up and I will see you
in my next video bye
