understand why it is you have nightmares
and share with you my three steps in
order to banish nightmares from your
life forever let's make a start hi what
goes my channel my name is Philip and if

up again and again throughout your life
maybe you're feeling stressed anxious
and tired for your thing fearful about
going to sleep now I've discussed dreams
in many other videos and I'm going to
link to one just want my head now
sharing with you what dreams mean but
what dreams are there to do is to show
you when something's wrong for your life
they're all the unused and unn
understood emotions and feelings which
you don't have time to deal with when
you're awake so when you're asleep you
don't have that filter to push those
feelings down so what happens is is that
those feelings come up you have a dream
about things that seemingly unrelated to
that feeling but yet leave you feeling
that feeling even when you wake up
they're just trying to show you a
message and nightmares are no different
step number one is to notice the feeling
associated with that nightmare maybe you
feel anxiety tense stressed the step
number two is to sit back and go okay I
feel this feeling what is that feeling
trying to show me essentially what's
that nightmare trying to help me to
uncover to work through and control so
say for example you've had a nightmare
that has made you feel anxious
so with that anxiety sit back and think
what's going on in your life right now
to make you feel anxious let's say for
example you've got a test coming up and
you don't you don't know if revision
maybe you feel you haven't got enough
money to pay the rent bill that month so
you need to sit down and work out your
finances you need to work out what it is
that the message of that anxiety is
trying to tell you and that's the same
with any emotion that you could feel
people scared what's that fear trying to
help me to accomplish to control to
master your nightmare is there shouting
you trying to show your message to tell
you to take action take control
and do something different in your life
so you don't have those burning emotions
or burning feelings trapped inside you
it's just trying to get you to to do
something a little bit different but
it's gonna mean growth and happiness in
the long term and remember it's not the
content of the nightmare leave what to
be thinking about that's just your brain
trying to get you to act trying to get
that feeling associated with some panic
something that your brain will
understand you need to start to listen
to the feeling underneath the content of
the dream what message is that feeling
trying to promote and show you and this
is us on to the last step which is step
number three which is also the most
important step which is to start to act
on and use the emotions or those
feelings associated with that dream so
let's say for example you have that
anxiety about that test coming up rather
than feeling anxious throughout your
life and anxious in your dreams let's
start revising for that test if it's
money that you need for your rent maybe
think to yourself okay maybe I need to
budget better maybe I need to work out
how much I can afford to spend on
lunches on lattes in Starbucks or in
fact just going out and living so that I
can afford rent or for bills and can be
happy throughout my life it's all about
using those feelings which you're trying
to run away from in your day to day life
in order to better your life in order to
release that tension and release that an
emotion or that feeling so that you can
live your life in the easiest and
happiest way possible and after a while
what will happen is that those
nightmares will start to diminish
because there won't be that same emotion
trapped inside you without any route for
it to go out it will just be done and
then you can have a good night's sleep
and not have to think or feel those
negative emotions anymore why don't you
