today I'm gonna give you a few tips on
how to file your title and your bill of
sale when you're buying a used car so
today I'm gonna give you a few tips on
how to fill out your title and your bill
of sale usually if you're buying a car
from a dealership they will take care of
all of this they'll do the paperwork for
everything pretty much but if you're
buying a car from somebody else then you
have to make sure that everything is
correct on the title and that everything
is correct on the bill of sales because
then you have to go to the DMV and file
everything yourself so first on the
title a few of the things that you have
to pay attention to is who owns the car
the car has to be registered the
registered owner of the car has to be
the person that you're purchasing the
car from it has to have their name and
their address listed make sure that the
car that you're purchasing is actually
the car that is listed on the title so
make sure the VIN number the year the
make and model is the same also make
sure this is an important one that there
are no lien holders on the title what a
lien holder means is that the car it's
financed so someone else actually owns
the car usually the finance company or
the bank so make sure pay attention that
there are no lien holders on the title
of this car let's go now to the actual
filling of the title you would have to
go to the seller name the seller will
have to write their name and their
address the seller will have to write
the price on the title as well the VIN
number and the miles of the vehicle also
pay attention on the miles of the
vehicle some vehicles all their vehicles
are except of miles so if the vehicle is
already exempt you have to keep it
exempt
if not you have to actually do the miles
that they audiometer it's reading at
that exact moment then signature of the
seller print name of the seller
signature of the buyer which is yourself
and print name of the buyer which is
yourself
with all that information your title
work should be good then you have to
fill out the bill of sale so the bill of
sale there are different bill of sales
out there some are more complicated than
other ones
I would recommend you to just use a very
simple one one like this should work you
will have to fill out the sellers name
the address the vehicle make and model
the year the VIN number and then the
buyer the person that's buying the car
which in this case would be you the
price of the car everything has to match
what they type what you brought on the
title then seller signatures and buyers
signature fill everything of this out
and with this - paper when this
paperwork you should be able to go to
the DMV and registered your car with no
problems that's it for today guys I hope
this helps you take care peace out
