so you're having a baby you'll start to
feel your baby move between 16 to 24
weeks pregnancy
you may feel a flutter or a kick a swish
or a roll
your baby's movements are one of the
signs that your baby can give you that
they are well
which is why it is important that you
get to know your baby's normal kicks and
movements during your pregnancy
from 16 to 24 weeks you should feel your
baby move more and more
from 32 weeks the movements stay roughly
the same up until baby is born there is
no set number of normal movements
regular and healthy movements are a good
sign of well-being most babies are more
active in the evening or at bedtime
it is not true that babies move less at
the end of pregnancy
you should feel your baby's movements
every day right up until they are born
even during labour
when a baby is unwell he or she may try
to save energy by moving less
this may be a sign of a problem
if you notice a change in your baby's
movements that concerns you it is
important that you contact your midwife
or doctor for a checkup right away
do not put off calling until the next
day the best thing to do is contact your
midwife or doctor immediately
