How to fabric paint on clothes

00:45so this is a great project to do with

00:46children as well you can even do it with

00:48really young children if they're

00:49supervised

00:51because it's very simple so it'd be

00:54maybank holidays if you're looking for a

00:56project to do while the kids are at home

00:58i've just got a little bit of these

01:00fabric paints out on an inking tray we

01:02have these trays as well

01:04on them handprinted dot co dot uk as you

01:06can see this one has been very well used

01:10and i'm just going to do a really simple

01:11floral design

01:13i'm going to dip the end of my brush in

01:16the blue

01:17and then i want the base of the brush to

01:19pick up some pink

01:22i'm then going to sort of stamp and

01:25wiggle

01:26my paintbrush

01:29onto the fabric load it up again

01:34and then put down a petal just like that

01:36keep loading my paintbrush up and

01:40returning to the fabric

01:46the more you dip your brush in the two

01:48colors the more you're going to get

01:49those two

01:50shades starting to blend together so you

01:52should have a nice fade

01:54from the center of the flower out to the

01:56end of the petal

02:48so there we have it a really quick easy

02:50spring floral painting project

02:52as soon as this paint is dry i can iron

02:55it you want to

02:56iron it on the hottest setting that the

02:58fabric can handle this is cotton so it

03:00could be pretty hot

03:01and you want it to feel hot to the touch

03:03you want the print to feel hot
