hello and welcome to this new video in
this video i want to show you how you
can extract all zip files from a folder
at once using the command line and 7-zip
7zip
the free software
i've already installed it and here you
can see my folder which contains a lot
of zip files i downloaded from the
internet and i want them extracted all
at once
so how are we gonna do that okay let's
get started we click into the uh the
location bar here or address bar and
type in cmd
and hit enter and this will open a
command line in the same folder as you
can see here i was in c damp zip and now
my command line here is also at temp zip
and now i need a small command to
extract all the files
i recommend copying it just from
our website here i will put the link in
the video description so let's copy the
command here and paste it in here and as
you can see what you are what we are
doing here is we call uh program files
767z dot
e for extract and star.zip for all zip
files which are in this folder here and
all i need to do is hit enter of course
if you have installed 7-zip to a
different location then you need to
change the path but this is the default
path for seven separate services
installed when you're using the default
settings during the installation okay
let's hit enter and
it extracts now all the data sometimes
it will complain that there is a
duplicate file for example here i have a
readme file here which is already there
so i can
say okay just overwrite it using a
and now all the files are getting
extracted at once and
when we have a look to the folder we can
now see that there are a lot of more
folders here and also files here
which are from all the extracted
files uh zip files here on the folder so
it's an easy way to just extract a lot
of zip files at once just using the
command line and this command for
example can also be used
in batch files okay well that's it
that's i wanted to show and goodbye
