you're simply going to press and hold
the lb button
and you gotta hold it if you want to go
backwards
and what is nice about this is it can be
used to block red shells
if instead of blocking we want to throw
the item forward
we simply release the left button
and of course if we want to throw it
backward we'll hold down the left analog
stick
or the left stick and then release the
left button
once again to simply
hold an item behind us like this green
shell here
we're simply going to press and hold the
left button
and it will stay behind us until
something happens
and of course
this trick can be really nice for
protecting the lead here we're in first
place we're going to hold a shell behind
us and we're able to dodge a red shell
this trick can also be used
for holding bombs
and leaving them as surprises or using
them in defense as well
