i need to reset my windows login
passwords
but my bootable c drive was encrypted so
it was impossible to get into os drive
please help
press and hold down the shift key
and then immediately click on restart
okay you can release the shift key now
before you get into choose an option
it will ask you to enter your bitlocker
recovery key if you don't remember
it doesn't matter
click on skip this drive
click on troubleshoot and then next
click on advanced options
click on command prompt
command prompt window being popup
ask to enter the recovery key where is
it

yes i do remember my bit locker user
passwords but i didn't remember my bit
locker recovery key
ignore to enter the recovery key it will
be ok

click on skip this drive
then the command prompt window being
pop-up
you use diskpart command to find out
which os drive was encrypted
in the command line you type list volume
in this case d drive is your bootable
drive you type exit to escape because
you don't need it anymore
if you know your bitlocker user password
then it is very simple to unlock your
encrypted drive in the recovery
environment type the following command
hit enter you'll be prompted to enter
the user password

once you enter your bitlocker user
passwords and then hit enter
it will tell you that the password
successfully unlocked volume d
next turn off bitlocker encryption

your percentage decrypted

then you type d i r and hit enter
it will display all files in your d
drive
then you type exit to close the command
prompt window
now you can able to go into the d drive
and system 32 to rename any files that
are necessary to reset your windows
login passwords
