to another video thanks so much for the
response of the the last video seemed to
go down quite well it's kind of what
everyone's into now is like there's
whiffed in the Virtua racing stuff so
that's why today I'm gonna do a similar
video but as you will have seen with the
title bit of a twist because I'm gonna
cheat now just as a bit of a disclaimer
to put this out there I'm not cheating
in an official Swift race I'm cheating
in a meet up that we're doing it's the
t3 world champs I did last week so if
you haven't seen that video I'd
recommend seeing that so I'll put that
up a link that above and so it's just a
meet up is with coached athletes its
witness with good friends I wouldn't
dream of doing this official is rephrase
because that is a massive dick move and
I'm not saying this isn't a dick move
it's still dick move but I'm doing this
for you I'm doing this for science it's
an experiment basically with Swift the
main way to get faster is to either put
out more power number one
or lose weight number two now there are
other ways of getting quicker you can
have different equipment but it's
basically Swift is built upon how much
power you put out and how much you weigh
I think there are quite a few people
that are being quite cheeky and they
probably are dropping their way some
people might not even know that dropping
your weight has an effect but that's why
I'm creating this video is to find out
how much of an effect dropping your
weight has I am NOT here telling you to
do this I'm not here advocating dropping
your weight on Swift I think anyone who
is cheating if you are cheating and
you're watching this just come on sort
yourself out 72 73 kilos depending on
how many Hot Cross Buns I've had and I
reckon I'll drop it to about 65 so
that's a good seven eight kilo
difference and if I'm putting out
similar amount of power that should have
quite a big effect majority of people
are probably quite honest on Swift but
there are gonna be a number of people
that are a little bit dishonest and they
are dropping their way and I'm not
saying this is a good idea please don't
watch this video or Harry thinks it's a
good idea to shake on rift and I'm gonna
drop my weight because he did it
no I'm doing this as an experiment so
please don't do that I just want to
prove what difference it makes
honestly I don't actually know what the
difference is going to be because I've
never done it before but this is why I'm
creating this video it's going to be
interesting to see the difference and
it's definitely something that I do not
want to promote people to do so yeah
watch a video I hope really hope you
enjoy it but please just don't um yeah
don't cheat I have got quite a few hours
until this whiff race so I'm gonna get
pumped up

so just just one we got now going to it
to fill me again

on on the screen now of me just going
into proving that I have dropped my
weight so that was on 72 and now it's on
65 so 7 kilo what difference tonight is
quite a flat race so obviously not gonna
have much benefit of them going up
declined but I still think the weight
difference is going to be it's going to
make difference 3 what
already 40 borrowing today I tried to
basically another the last five seconds
of the warm-up just hit some big watts
to kind of like slingshot me forward as
you can see didn't really work very well
we'll come down a minute

that's um picked erase the
two pros with race earlier on as well
then I have a buddy how he's doing this

so this week
as I mentioned earlier I'm gonna try and
use my power-ups wisely I had no idea
what they would ask me and
cool after doing a bit of reading up
ones with drafting that really have
quite a big impact so not being stupid
and getting on the front even though you
don't feel a draft like there is a draft
effect so keeping its mark hanging back
finding it quite hard with a wheel on
turbo trainer just because well one last
week is really pissing me off and to do
I find the power just doesn't lag a
little bit
then stop complaining and just get on to
the race

halfway through droid been a big surge
already haven't had any power up yet and
so obviously you can see that still
trying as hard as ever and I think it's
definitely a plat course so that's
obviously cannot boys there's more
climbing then did it I'd be quicker but
yes editing a lot actually and just
managing tasks hold on to the group and
yes we'll see how for some coach

yeah say
I cheated drop my weight by seven kilos
and I did worse they last week
really I really have an excuse the
villains I don't know what happened
there yeah if anything this is an advert
for not dropping your weight because it
clearly doesn't do anything all joking
aside that wasn't a good course to
represent the dropped weight has an
effect because it was completely flat as
you could see so yeah it kind of all
came down to the legs and I didn't have
it but obviously if it was a Hillier
course then yes if I was lighter I would
have gone a lot quicker up the climbs
because if I'm lighter then yeah you're
you're obviously gonna climb quicker but
yeah that was still unexplained clearly
just not very good riding a bike
anything this is telling me that I need
to train a bit harder
don't drop your weight on the left
because if any you're just cheating
yourself and it's just a game and to be
honest I was thinking during the
cooldown I was like I don't oppose this
video it's embarrassing that didn't show
what I wanted it to show but actually if
anything I think it's quite funny didn't
get any power-ups this time which I was
praying for towards the end in the last
couple of K I was just praying for a
powerup and it just didn't come so that
sucked as you can tell in the last two K
there wasn't much motivation though I
feel like I was pushing hard but you
know when you're stuck in the pack and
when you're with people like you do just
push a bit harder and when I saw people
go up and I wasn't catching them that
just sort of like demotivates you a
little bit so like towards you know in
the last K like I probably could've gone
harder but actually mentally I was just
like I was already finished do not take
your eyes off the laptop or the screen
or whatever is because you can get
dropped in a second and obviously it's
the same as being out on the road you
can get dropped in a second but
obviously on the road you have to look
ahead of you because if you don't
you'll crash right but I'm Swift you
know a lot of people like myself you
know if you're really going for it you
kind of look down and you're really sort
of grinding and looking at the
handlebars like chewing on your
handlebars but you can't do that because
you need to keep an eye on your screen
so that's one thing I've learned is do
not take your eyes off the screen every
day's a school day and I just got
