hello guys i hope you are doing really
really well today i am going to show you
how to calculate the selling price
if the markup percentage is given
so let's start first of all if you have
a product
and the cost price of that product
is let's say
uh 800 dollars or rupees
okay and you have the markup
percentage also okay so markup
percentage is also given
which is let's say 20
okay and now you want to calculate the
selling
price okay
okay so guys first of all what we have
to do
we have to find out the amount of
this markup percentage so to find out
the amount
of markup percentage
we have to divide this 20 okay this is
20
we have to divide it with 100
okay and then we have to multiply it
with the
cost price okay so our cost price here
is 800 okay so what we're gonna do is
we divide 20 with 100 and we multiply it
with
800 which is the cost price
okay so these two zeros
they will cut it from here and then 20
multiplied by 8
the answer will be 160
okay guys so this 160 is our
amount of the markup okay
in the next step we have to simply put
the
formula to calculate the selling price
or
sp so the formula is cost price
plus this markup
okay so now we will put the value
the cost price is here which is 800
okay plus this markup we already
calculated which is 106
so our answer will be 960
so guys this is our selling price
so this is how you can calculate the
selling
price in the two steps okay the first
step you find the
amount of the markup in the next app you
just simply put the formula and put the
values
and you will get the answer i will show
you with one more example
let's say you have a product and the
cost
of the product is 40
dollars or rupees and the markup
percentage
is uh 25
okay guys and now you want to calculate
the
selling price okay
okay so first of all what we're gonna do
is we will find out the
amount of this marker percentage okay
so to find out the a markup amount of
markup
we have to divide this 25
with 100 because you know
there is a percent so it means 25
divided with 100
and then we multiply it with the cost
price so our cost price
here is 40 so we simply multiply with 40
okay so our when we divide 25 with 100
the answer will be 0.25
multiply with this 40 and then we
simplify it 40 multiply by 0.25 the
answer will be
10 okay guys so this is the first step
we get our
markup already now simply put the
formula to calculate the
selling price
which is cost price cp plus
this markup okay simply put the values
over here
cp is a 40 as i already told you
and then we have markup we already
calculate plus
10 okay the answer will be
50 okay so 50 is our
selling price so guys this is how you
can calculate the
selling price so i hope you like the
