what is up everyone and welcome back if
you are new to the channel i'm cody
pratt aka random hero so sometimes going
to a tattoo shop can be a little bit
intimidating if you aren't used to being
around that environment or maybe
the artist or front desk person is just
having a bad day or sometimes people are
just rude whatever the case is
sometimes this can prevent us from
booking our tattoo appointment even
though we really want one so today we're
going to talk about some different ways
to set up a tattoo appointment let's get
started
[Music]
so booking a tattoo appointment can and
probably will vary between shops but
essentially there are four main ways to
actually book your appointment one of
the first ways that you can do this is
going through a website
now whether you do this through the shop
website or through the individual
artists website
most times there is a form on that
website that you can click on and fill
out
and this starts the booking process
through that avenue and if you don't see
a form or anything there will almost
always be contact information
so with contact information in hand if
there is no form on a website you can
definitely email the artist directly or
sometimes just email the shop is pretty
easy as well and then in there you can
indicate if there's a specific artist
that you want to work with
but whoever you're emailing let them
know that you want a tattoo
and ask what the next steps are and if
you can't find an email address almost
everyone has facebook or instagram so a
really easy way is just to go on there
search for the artist or the shop and
then you can direct message them
and if none of that works the third way
is you can call the artist or the studio
directly and you could probably find
this phone number on the website or
through a quick google search but
essentially you can call the shop or you
can call the artist and let them know
that you are interested in getting a
tattoo and ask them what the next steps
are or exactly how to go in booking an
appointment or a consultation
but if calling doesn't work then the
easiest and probably one of the quickest
ways to get an appointment is to just
walk in
and really with walking in there are a
couple things that could happen
if you want to get tattooed that day you
could
probably grab just a walking spot
if there's an artist available another
thing that could happen is you could set
up an appointment or a consultation for
the artist that you want
or at a bare minimum you can consult
with the artist and then go from there
talk about what you want where you want
it and all that stuff and then get set
up for a tattoo appointment
okay so this next step is very important
there are a couple things that i want
you to do
before calling emailing walking in
whatever you're going to do these are
some things i want you to do beforehand
and i promise that your artist is going
to very much appreciate this
all right the first thing i want you to
know beforehand is know what you want
at the very least have a solid idea of
what direction you're wanting to go and
from there
your artist can help kind of fill in the
blanks
because the last thing you want to do is
waste an artist's time if you go in for
your appointment and don't even know
what you want all right number two is do
your research
know what you like
don't like what style
size
placement color black and gray and
definitely bring any reference photos if
you have any
make it as easy as possible to show the
artist what you want
and then number three expect to pay a
deposit
i covered this in a previous video so
i'll put that here but go watch that if
you don't understand how deposits work
but essentially you pay a deposit to
ensure you have a spot in that artist's
books
and that you don't waste their time for
them to draw something and then you
don't show up and that's essentially how
to book your tattoo appointment almost
every artist i've worked with has
different booking procedures
so if you find the artists you want make
sure you follow their instructions
if you do not include all the
requirements or
specificities that they want they could
look you over and you may not get a
tattoo appointment by them in a timely
manner but booking a tattoo appointment
is a lot easier than it sounds
i just want to make sure you have all
the information you need going forward
let me know in the comments below how
booking a tattoo appointment for you
went and how easy it was
