I'm sure you've wondered how does your favorite
Indian restaurant get their rice so long and fluffy
Well, let's unravel that secret today!
Wash your rice in running water and add it to a pot
Add in the same quantity of water
Season it with salt
Measure with your hand to see if the level of water is almost one inch
above and over the rice. If not, add in more water.
Cover and cook the rice on
medium flame stirring it occasionally when the bubbles become more and more
When the bubbles become more and more
rapid remove the lid keep stirring it to make sure nothing is sticking to the bottom (of the pan).
And when the grains have changed color to opaque white strain it and discard the water.
Put the strained rice back into the pot cover it and let it sit
aside for about five to seven mins.
